Think last year they also have flood there that destroyed the bridge but not so serious..

Last year aerial footage of the gyirong port after mudslide destroyed the bridge completed in 2019. From other videos the custom building was also completed in 2019. The river on the left was blocked flooding the road and buildings.

The bridge before it was damaged in an earthquake in 2015 later demolished.

Can see how small the custom building looks compared to the valley.

oh how come there is a dam so high up in the mountains above the city?

Himalaya and tibet area have frequent landslides. See travel videos on youtube can see construction bulldozers excavators parked along the mountain highway.

Landslide can block river forming temporary natural dam. The taiwan east side hualian mountain also had huge mudslide from natural dam burst last year. Also from by earthquake triggered landslide blocking river. No warning too.

Of cos these numbers are likely to change as it unfolds. But I’m kind of surprised the numbers is so slow numbering only 3 on one side when we see how big is it hitting the Tibet side

Could the main building have withstood the force and remain standing, or partially standing? It looks the strongest in that area, If yes, it might be buried underneath the mud, but there will be pockets or rooms inside the building that contain survivors.

Impossible... The ground underneath is gone also.. The wave so strong u see the bodies all are shedded into parts. RIP to all victims... Those place of interest with similar features all better avoid.

Selvaganesh said the last message he received from his wife was at around 9.15am on Aug 26. She was about to clear immigration at the border between Nepal and China, and would update him when she could.

If the border crossing is Gyirong Port, then gg.
