Only saw it at CWP. not sure about other outlets.

Model is XB270HU, IPS, at $699.

If you want XB271HU at $699, maybe 6 months later? :s8:

If 6 months xb271hu below 899 I think it's good price already. Not sure when the newer gen monitor will even come. Not sure what the newer gen can do better

If can OC to 165Hz I thought is 271 only.

Nope. There are 2 batches of this monitor apparently. Those that are manufactured in oct 2015 will have the same panel and overclock feature to 165hz as the xb271hu. I just overclocked yesterday. Its on the OSD. Select overclock enable and adjust refresh rate from 144 to 165.

Really good deal at 699

Yup. Because 144 to 165hz require displayport. Hdmi only can output 60hz, hdmi 2.0 i think pnly max 120hz.

yeah i want the HDMi for my laptop/console. so i dont mind those being on 60 hz. Thats why the newer monitors usually have a HDMI port.

anyway might be too late for this 699 deal anyway. Was considering just getting this an swapping cables manually

If you read review OC to 165 greatly reduce the colour reproduction and accuracy. Best is still 120-144Hz.

Courts Tampines North retail park has at least 2 units but $999 not $699.

Bring a tent to camp there man, they will reduce. Or you can ask the service guys if it's on sale.

My monitor has 1 dead pixel leh, box was opened before I think. But still worth the 699 price.

There will be a new 30" VA panel (most likely Acer Z30?) that feature Ultra-wide resolution 3440x1440, 144Hz, G-sync and 4ms GTG response time.

That will be one of the most godly panel to come in a while, before ASUS 144Hz 4K IPS Swift start appearing :s13:
