i think most, if not all, tires get a lil noisy after 5-10k km...

After 1 year this 11A starts to get audible, else it's a nice tyres.
Had T1R before, its side wall is soYft, GT radial HPY is not that noisy & grip is ok, KUMHO KU31 side wall very hard & very noisy after maybe 30k, all these are same 215 45 profile. GT & KU are cheap tyre u can get.
After put on RE11A I seldom hard corner liao, but hard brake & corner on wet surface it's grip is quite good.
Next time can check out those tyres you guys recommanded here.

How much you paid and what ah?

i think my mech gave me 60ah amaron. paid around 120 for it. a lot of friends told me i had a good deal cost 60ah batteries are usually more than $150.

now this led me to believe he may have marked up on other services i did that day. he changed 6 sparked plugs, engine gasket, and battery. all in about 900.
i remember the 6 plugs costs me like $180.

Used Continental and Michellin before, but not Goodyear in the last 5 years. The last Goodyear I used was the first version of the Eagle F1.

My opinion is that CSC5 is one notch above PS3 > the Goodyear F1.

So unless you can get PS3 or the F1A2 at a price cheaper than $160 as mentioned above, the CSC5 is a shoo-in.

And added-bonus, CSC5 with the best performance is probably also the quietest.

Wah okie i go research abit more... 1 last qn: which has harder sidewall in your view, PS3 OR CSC5? I always buah kerb so harder sidewall is a plus!!

If CSC5 is still $160 and has even harder sidewall, i may just go change over weekend

ok. I think this is a package price too. so far, I am quoted $170.

Ya. Need to give way to comfort too as the side wall is hard.
You can feel the tires gripping the ground at very high sweeping corners.
Feel very confident on this tires.

Feel very comfy leh! maybe because my butt is numb after all these years with these stupid tyres.
Hard side wall takes away confort and compensate by reducing high speed cornering body roll thats make the driver feel more comfy but not the passengers.

yes, i think it should be around that price range. anyway, he asked me if i wanted a lower ah battery(slightly cheaper), but i told him to stick to the factory recommended.

When stationery, both are as hard as far as I can tell.

But CSC5 is stiffer when cornering at high speed.

If want super hard, then go for Pirelli P Zero. Super performance, super noisy.

To be honest, getting a harder tyre to overcome kerb hitting habit is not the solution; the toughest tyre will wear out one day.

To overcome your problem, improve on your estimation skills in tight carparks, especially your usual ones.

Another solution I adopted myself was, the "if not sure, just reverse one more time" rule..... :s13:

I can't really get used to the discomfort but lucky I can still play with my suspension setting. normal street driving, I will just use comfort mode.
once across the causeway, full attack mode. :s13:

ya. better to stick to stock rating or slightly higher but not lower.
there is a reason why factory use that rating.
