Wah okie i go research abit more... 1 last qn: which has harder sidewall in your view, PS3 OR CSC5? I always buah kerb so harder sidewall is a plus!!

If CSC5 is still $160 and has even harder sidewall, i may just go change over weekend

I used both and I can't tell which is harder. My car is heavy and I prefer harder tires so pumped at 280kpa.

CSC5 lasted me 35k km while I am still using the PS3. My earlier CSC2 lasted me only 25k km.

ya. better to stick to stock rating or slightly higher but not lower.
there is a reason why factory use that rating.

yes, totally agree. there must be some engineering reason why 60ah was used for the car.

CSC2 review was horrible. that is why I still dare not venture into CSC series of tires. :o

Got u.. ok.. so conti is audi.. merc. . BMW. . Ps I noob..

Conti Cars = Continental Cars = Cars made in Continental Europe*

*This was the traditional definition anyway. Now it's just brands originating from Continental Europe, since some VWs and Audis are made in China and Jap-brand cars are made in Europe.

was just chatting with an american friend this morning... he jokingly told me to avoid goodyear at all cost... here's why:

What do you do with 365 pieces of used condoms?
Melt it together, make a tire and call it a good year.

lol...

Before my ps3, ride is using hancook ventus v12 by previous owner. Not sure how long had it been used but the brakin distance is pretty weak. Was told by workshop to change as the tyres wear off pretty badly. Havent try brandnew hancook though.

Hankook Ventus S1 evo 2 is good quiet and comfortable tyres.

Above average in every count, but never tops in any.

I will get them for short-term use if they cost <$140 @ 17"

Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 is supposed to be their flagship performer.

Never tried it before, not easy to find the correct sizes in SG. And even if found, probably "not fresh" since they are not as popular as the other brands.

o ok... ive been using continental for many years, no complains so far. maybe i'm a careful driver and hardly speed or drive like a maniac or jackrabbit.
i think apart from hancook, you may wanna consider trying continental or toyo. do go thru this thread cos there's very useful info on tire selection. hope the info is useful to you.

ive been reading up more on toyo in the past 2 days, and spoken to a few friends too. so far, the review and overall experience from drivers have been pretty positive. so personally, i will be switching to toyo proxes.

CSC2 came with my car... so used it. It's not that bad, just thread wear is a bit high.

CSC3 and CSC5 are fine in my books.
