if you intend to get multi GPU next time better to go for RX480, dont get GTX970 pls.....

and get H97 motherboard also,no sli though but its cheaper and u dont overlock, still can crossfire with 2 AMD cards,

MSI gaming 3 if you want a premium board with m.2ssd slot, if not just get the MSI PC mate

get a cheaper board lah! like a entry level asrock board lah like an asrock H81 basic 1

then can spend more on a GPU or a higher cap ssd

Well they currently priced similar, but if u playing future Dx12 titles games still best to get amd GPU. If nit u can consider GTX 1050/1060

well its quite simple though:

1) u can use a higher reso monitor if u got more rams.
2) as more games are quite heavy with those map textures and etc, gpu can just get those data cache to the its ram instead of relying on the system ram.

Ya more than enough

Can scrimp on ssd. Just get from a reliable brand you have heard of like crucial/sandisk/transcend/adata etc. Samsung ssd are not that value for money.

You don't need a H97 mobo. You won't use all the features now. Better to save the money and get better PSU/SSD/Casing.

Go with the RX480. Its a little bit more ex than a gtx 970.

Seasonic S12II 520W - $89 (don't let shop uncle upsell you, got one of the guys always like to say that 520W not enough...when actually a SLI 1080 setup uses less than 500W at load apparently.)
Fractal Design Core 500 Mini ITX - $99 (can those really cheap shitty casing to fit budget too)

If you need more storage but not willing to sacrifice the price - Remove the SSD above and get Seagate Hybrid SSHD 2TB - $151
