try HP one, so far i'm using HP usb-c gigabit ethernet dongle with no issue and it's only $35

U bought from where? J5 useful i suppose cos it provides usb 3 ports too if not need to spend $ buying usb hub too. Might as well get something like J5 with ethernet & usb 3.

Depends on how the home is setup. For mine, actually I don’t need it if I were to use it at home.

1. Connect wirelessly to NAS
2. Project directly to tv and projector using Apple TV
3. Home on full WiFi
4. Digital camera, phones can transfer photos wireless

If I were to use outside, then a hub is essential.

I just got the 2018 MBP 13" TB a few days ago, upgrading from my 2013 MBP which was starting to give me problems.

Is the form factor for the 2018 13" MBP TB similar to the 2017 13" MBP TB? Reason I am asking is because I want to buy a case protector (those silicon shell case) but many in the market are for the 2017 MBP TB.
