What do you feel with the 2018 Macbook version?

I would say hold your money until the speaker cranking issue has been resolve.

The speaker crackling issue is not present on my 2018 Macbook Pro 13 inch unit. I purchased it early last week. Think last tuesday 14th Aug 2018.

I use the new one and it has been great. No major issue - just that keyboards are bit noisy.

It doesn't come out of the box but intermittent.
For my case, it appears when under full constant cpu load for 15 mins or so.

You could try mojave beta.

bought a 13' MBP 2018 for my kid, encountered a couple of reboot in one week... kernel panics something, all seemed to happen when MBP was idle/sleeping.

do i belong to that 'small number of" users who have this issue?

any suggestion? exchange won't help right? don't think it is caused by faulty hardware... OS already in Mojave.

There is a 14days return policy if you don’t like the product. If I were you, if I’d return immediately.

There are panics_full_* reports, huge amount of content like full dump of PRAM, can’t read and hard to tell what caused problem

We need a new mbp, but disappointed with the quality, there are 2 other macbook and MacBook pro but not 2018 version, never had such problem.

have u tried resetting PRAM, SMC? if problem persists I would contact e Apple Store or get a refund.

Received my 2018 MacBook Pro 13” last evening. Migrated over from late 2018 MacBook Pro. All good so far but I really really miss the MagSafe connector. The USB-C is so tight to insert and remove.
