Deutsche Bank

Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE) fell for a third day, sinking more than 11% after a sharp jump in the cost of insuring the German giant's bonds against the risk of default.

Its shares have lost a fifth of their value so far this month and the cost of its credit default swaps (CDS) - a form of insurance for bondholders - jumped to a four-year high on Friday, based on data from S&P Market Intelligence.

"Deutsche Bank has been in the spotlight for a while now, in a similar way to how Credit Suisse had been," said Stuart Cole, head macro economist at Equiti Capital.

"It has gone through various restructurings and changes of leadership in attempts to get it back on a solid footing but so far none of these efforts appear to have really worked."

Woke up this morning to Green S&P500 and Green XLF.

The bears are not doing a good job in spreading fear. I want to buy stocks cheap when others are fearful :s13:

Me too. But it will come down. Because if April inflation results is stuck and Powell got hard balls to up and hold interest at 5.25 or higher in 2023, market will tank. Now market is thinking 2023 interest will be at 4.5% but Powell say 5.25%. Ppl say he talk cock

Ships have sailed, the market is pricing in around interest rate of 3.68% by Jan 2024, they are calling the bluff from Powell.

Inflation data will definitely come down, you just have to study the data in details. Almost every factor of CPI is negative except food price. There is practically zero chance of inflation not coming down, that's why the whole market don't believe Powell. This guy simply know how to talk cork, I really wondered how the Fed is qualified to make decisions. Didn't increase rate when they should and increase rates when they shouldn't.

Let’s see who is correct. I was one of the clowns who don’t believe Powell will even have the balls to raise rates beyond 2%. 😆! Lucky I had the opportunity to sell all those kachang puteh stocks then move them to safe haven. I don’t have balls to bet against him anymore. Not forgetting he is someone who did over QE and now he going to do over QT.

I am still heavy in equities 60% vs 40% cash. But personally I think Powell will hold this rate as long as possible until inflation hits 2%. Inflation once below 5% will be very sticky. 😆! Let’s see how this thing pans out. So far I follow those bros and add when S&P is below 4000. 😆! See will die or not.

I quite sure this group will cry either way.
(1) it will never happen
(2) if it happens, I quite sure something massive broke.
Sifu Peter lunch said, no one knows what will be the future interest. Don’t bother guessing. Just buy solid companies. 😆! That is why I am laughing at those clowns who say interest up bank sure win. Depends on what u believe

You think the banks dare to loan out their money in the face of crisis? They take the money from fed just to keep liquidity.
Sure got 1-2 lao hero banks loan all out one. There is nothing amdk banks cannot do. You think like SG bank. Machiam kindergarten A for Apple, B for boy.

Sounds same like rookie retail investor. Didnt sell when stock price is coming down and hold onto losses for a while but keeps buying when stock price is already losing momentum on its way up.
