I'm hoping that fear will spread and XLF will drop 10%. Getting ready some money to punt.

Govt will announce that it is not a crisis of fundamentals as the economy is fundamentally sound.

Therefore, since it is purely a crisis of confidence, Govt will announce that it will be acting as a backstop and XLF will rally.

Yellen was in the Fed with helicopter Ben, she knows the playbook.

XLF is still too expensive. It hasn't moved much since I posted, only about 2% down. Needs to go down by another 8% for me to become interested.

Unless there's a sharp deviation of XLF from the S&P 500 (thus suggesting mis-pricing and a buying opportunity), I think I am still better off buying a 'plain' S&P500 ETF while S&P remains under 4,000.

But as of now, i also think the banking system is fine. Ppl are still depositing money into banks, jus that they r more selective n choose bigger banks.
Hedge funds and other bands are swooping in to buy/bid for distressed deposits at a discount, meaning banks are generally still in healthy shape
Bank managements are buying alot of bank shares this past few days, signalling their confidence.

Of course la. If I am the CEO, I also buy now. Later any issue I can exit first mah. By the time I exit, too late for retail investors. See those clowns who encourage all these crypto. They didn’t get burn, their supporters got burnt.
