MacBook Neo vs M1 Air - ULTIMATE Comparison!

This YT said that Neo sounded better than M1 Air. However I think otherwise. I went to iStudio and as usually I played my favorite Youtube video. Then I went home and played the same video on my M1 Air.

Screen display wise, I feel both are similar. For sound wise, I prefer M1 Air. Mainly because the music (I felt) is coming to me from the screen. This is due to the speaker placement on M1 Air. Hence I feel sound wise, M1 Air is better than Neo.

Screen display and sound is usually the differentiator for me when choosing similar laptop, tablet or phone.

If I am to buy Neo, it would be due to the colour. Blush (pink) is my preferred colour.

yes, build is solid and it is totally justifiable for its price and it is perfect device for a lot of users, including students and anyone who just needs a basic laptop for productivity works for day to day use without spending much.

apple comes out with this product, those who find it fits their needs and they are ok with the price they will buy.

there is no need for consumers to even worry about apple's sale figure especially for a trillion dollars company.
and it is not for consumers to worry in the first place.

comparing to latest air, neo certainly can justify the price, half the the retail price for the air is more than enough to attracts the target group to buy. not to mention that with the discount vouchers + double days discount, anytime, macbook neo can easily be cheaper than educational price even.

one may argues that buying neo might as well buy the refurbished old models of macbook air (m1 or m2), but the look and unique colours can fit this targetted group better, especially for students and kids or even anyone that just needs this macbook neo for basic need, they may opt for the look and colours instead of 'value'.

Because I own AAPL stocks. Not only a customer of Apple but also a shareholder too. And my company is also one of the many suppliers to them. It is in my interest to know that they are doing well. If I buys it, it is most probably going to be popular. Because I am a cheapskate. But I bought the iPhone 17 and Mac Mini M4 without second thoughts. Great value product will attract many customers.

Personally I will not compare a new MacBook NEO with a refurbished MacBook Air M1/M2.

I know that refurbished Apple product still carries one year warranty. But my experiences tell me that Apple product can easily last 6 to 9 years or longer. I am not confident that a refurbished one will last as long as a new one.
