I really doubt it. they essentially have to half their prices AND improve the built quality or in other words lose money to try and stay in the market

They do not need to match the build quality of MacBook NEO.

Just need to lower the price ...

There are many Windows laptops using Intel/AMD CPU out there not up to the build quality of MacBook Air, but cheaper. They are doing well as they are cheaper and good enough.

Qualcomm Windows on ARM64 laptops are not that good yet with high price. That is the problem.

Windows has got better advantage because of the bigger market share ! You can see from the vendor %. In fact with these , they could have long time years ago produce good quality budget laptops and not the super crappy laggy Chromebook. They would have retain this segment .

bought it basically for a utility laptop that can do light tasks on the go and leave my Macbook Pro on the desktop acting like a Mac Mini.

Microsoft does have the Surface Lineup, but that is more geared toward the mid-range and high end.

As long as it is well maintained and you are okay with the physical outlook, just go with the MacBook Pro M4 512GB, that is a totally different class of product compared to MacBook Neo.

She told me no warranty but then everything in good condition . Cause she knows I’m looking to get a MacBook . I was looking at MacBook Neo 512gb then she ask if I want to buy her MacBook Pro m4 . Also 512gb

personally i will not buy second hand electronic products. no matter handphone or laptop or whatever.

u will never how the previous owner had tortured it and what is it actually conditions.

and personally i will NEVER sell anything from big to small to family/friends/relatives, including house, car, digital products or anything.
u will regret to do so, becos next time if the item is spoiled or got prob, they will only remember the fact that u had sold it to them and will not remember that u had sold them cheap. this certainly affects relationship. no point to risk it.

I do not sell any of my IT stuff. I keep them until feeling the need to throw away after many years or if it is spoiled. Actually I still keep the soiled Mac Mini 2011 (dead in 2019, most likely with dead power supply) and hope one day I would open it and fix it. That never happens in the end.

I did throw away the old iPad 2 when it got swollen battery.

But I am willing to buy stuff if the price is not high even though I seldom do that and would usually buy cheaper stuff in that case. I will not complain if the thing does not work well as expected.

depends on your usage. Pro will defnitely better. but you need to ask yourself, what will you be using it for?

Difference in terms of? Size. Definitely. Snappiness, my Pro is faster. Gorgeous display. ProMotion. but i have the Neo as a utility laptop to bring around for casual outings and for travel.

yes, also find that the importance thing is always to buy something that fits one's need.

no point to spend extra $$ just becos it is more 'worth it' to get the higher end one due to specs.

this macbook neo is really just nice for many many many ppl.
and best part is since the money spent is little, it also gives lower risks when something happened (like lost of laptop, touch wood etc.)
