according to above pic, does it means that this player have region locked at 3(Dvd) and A(BR)?
1 year ago and 1 year after, Sony is still selling x700, and price remains.
Local players are region lock.
Blu ray have change,
Region A: North America, South America, U.S. Territories, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia
Region B: Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.
Region C: Asia (except for Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia)
Region FREE: This is not an official setting, but discs that have the region FREE symbol either have no flag set or have all region flags (A, B & C) set.

Region A covers a lot of countries so if you buy disc from US, it still can play unlike DVD.
DVD from US are still code 1 so you intend to play DVD than source for unlock DVD player but such players have cease to exist.
If you are still playing DVD time to move up to Blu ray than you need not worry about the region code.
But if you still want to play DVD mainly because DVD are cheaper than Blu ray than you have to either import a DVD/blu ray player from US.
Be mindful of the voltage of imported player as US is using 110/120V while SG is using 230/240V.
If you feel X700 sells at $300 is pricey,
4K UHD Blu ray player are priced higher than standard blu ray player.
If you don't intend to play 4K UHD disc than just get blu ray player which are much cheaper.
Else import from Amazon US, the region would be DVD 1 and Blu region is still A.
Import from Amazon only risk is the warranty, as UBP-X700 uses a adapter so I don't think there will be much issue.
Unless you want to play safe import it than buy the local AC adapter from service center just cite you lose it.
