It's a mushroom brand with a china movement.
Might as well get a homage watch if you are ok with china movements like a seagull or tianjin.

Otherwise, you might be able to land a vintage or 2nd hand swiss ETA from Tissot or Hamilton for that budget.
Or use that on a quality Japanese movement from Seiko or Orient. $500 can land you some really good models from the grey market!

500 to 1k I recommend Gnomon watches. Can go their website see see the various micro brands, steinhart, dievas, laco if other watch names like seiko are too mainstream for you.

I got my laco from them.

Ultimately I think you should get a watch that you like regardless of brand but you must be prepared that a cheap and good looking watch might not have enough QC and you may not get the best for your money.

hamilton and tissot do have cheaper auto watches tat are at this price range btw quartz arent necessarily inferior, 1 of the most interesting quartz watch in the world is from bulova, the accutron series, accuracy and precision can fight and may even beat most rolex or seiko grand

Any quartz watch also can fight the most expensive mechanical watch in terms of accuracy lah

You looking at online purchases right? For dress watches, there are sub 1k hammy and tissot autos online, like the tissot visodate and khaki auto. At 2k, you could get a Sinn 556A pilot/dress watch at retail with cash to spare.

If you are looking for a auto diver's watch, for around 2k you probably could get a NOS/export (new) set Sinn U1 on rubber with a little luck on SWX.
