actually the '10 countries' still not bad and prosper for many years. Its the 5 dynasty in Central Plains that is the worst in China history. War non stop and change 5 dynasties and 60 emperors within 50+ yrs.

didn't read much about this part of the China history prior, so was kinda lost with all the characters (except Zhao Kuangyin) in the drama.

like those characters in the Wuyue Kingdom, so confusing + some princes are actually adopted (not pure king's blood).

can't really tell who the villain is and who the good guy is lol.

the marshall that got "framed" and killed in episode 3, is he actually a villian? Understand that he is trying to investigate a corruption case involving the King's treasury though. Then next moment, after the King passed on, he kena accused and publicly executed...

the main protagonists are the 9th prince of wu yue, and zhao kuang yin of the then hou jin dynasty

the "villains" technically atm who are purely bad guys are cheng zhao yue and he cheng xun, because their corruption at hou jin dynasty pretty much started everything
they blamed dai yun because he was the perfect scapegoat, he was investigating he cheng xun's corruption so he has his people guarding the treasury

i need to rewatch the episodes to understand things better as well

hmm i read about Wuyue history.... it seems that it is always their policy to do this, to submit to a stronger state, idealogy from the founding King of Wuyue.

a bit smart, can avoid war and retain as King.

Got lah. Just the other states cmi in beginning . They keep changing king. Only wuyue remain till later.

This drama tiagong 40+ ep nia. Can't tell everyone stories in details.

If they want tell details of each state then must do same 战国春秋series last time. But sure mostly same story cuz betray and 造反

I finally understand why the drama concentrate heavily on wuyue.

Because the kingdom is the only one that wasn't defeated. But the king of wuyue actually subject itself to all other main emperor that keep changing and in the end the last king of wuyue give up his kingdom to serve song. He is really a great king to be respected
