I finally understand why the drama concentrate heavily on wuyue.

Because the kingdom is the only one that wasn't defeated. But the king of wuyue actually subject itself to all other main emperor that keep changing and in the end the last king of wuyue give up his kingdom to serve song. He is really a great king to be respected

thats why i say he and the predecessors smart, they avoided war.... they just need to submit to the strongest emperor and continue to be the king.

actually the reason on why focus on WuYue is simple, coz Zhejiang got invest in this show, so they emphasis more WuYue, ZheJiang was where WuYue located, and and this also how come the name "Hangzhou" appeared so many times in this show.

I watch their 汉武大帝 and 康熙帝国 before, they convenient avoid some history that are deem "sensitive", even the show is well done, it is not full truth

Not just that you dun get to see the truth, usually they will glorify invasion and beautify surrenders. Even tyrants like qinshihuang will always get whitewashed.

but you watch them strictly for entertainment and be clear of and ignore what they are selling, then it is absolutely fine

those who want both entertainment and deeper meaning, there are still shows that slipped through the crack and still brilliant like 長安的荔枝 though it is fictional
