About PC Themes nets payment policy

Hi, just wanna check with PC Themes regulars to see if PC Themes still charge you 2% more when paying with nets.

I remember back in year 2008 when I bought almost 2k worth of hardwares from them to build my rig and they wanna charge me 2% more for paying with nets which is $40 extra. (ouch!)

Actually I just wonder why they charge 2% more whereas the other shop does not. However the quality of their customer service is indeed superb which is something I have to agree...

@TS most of the shops have this policy ~ they wanted u to pay cash so that they can charge u @ a lower price ~ good for u and them ^^

go compare the item price between PCT and those shops does not charge u the 2%
u will find the answer there

i dont belive u can find shops which dont charge u 2% for nets, giving u the same price as those who change u 2% for nets payment

i always bring cash with me when i go sls. cash = bargaining power in sim lim square.
e.g
Me: hi do u guys have xxxx graphic card ?
Sales Rep: yes we have
Me: price ?
Sales Rep: $550
Me: if pay by cash leh ?
Sales Rep: $545

the price is juz a example but using this method they are usually willing to drop the price abit more.

i believe the fault lies with NETS for charging merchants higher surcharge per transaction. So merchants have no choice. But what i like about PCT is that they state the cash price in their pricelist and inform you of the 2% before you make payment if you decide to pay by NETS. I believe there are shops that add that 2% into all their prices so you dont have a choice. Which means you'll be paying the 2% regardless of cash or NETS payment.

Agreed. Other shops you have to ask for cash price before they give you discount. If someone noobs go there and pay cash + don't ask for cash discount = paying same price as NETS price.
