1. Kindly post some picture of your tablet. Thanks.

2. I managed to Root my Samsung Tab 2 running 4.0.3

I just collected the tablet since i'm near their office... Initial impression was alright. Speed wise i can't say it's fast. But if u just plan to use for email and movie watching...it should be sufficient... Bundled SD card is by Silicon Power. I wonder whether it can be rooted...

Issue found: I tried to wifi tether from my iPhone4 but the tablet wasnt able to detect the hotspot.

Thanks for the feed back

They'll be delivering my tablet tomorrow morning, between 9am to 1pm. Carrier used is Singpost. AC Ryan informed the consignment number also.

Received the same message from AC Ryan. Been waiting the whole morning & decided To call Singpost and was told the delivery is on Monday, not Saturday! :(

AC Ryan, pls explain this discrepancy.

This is very upsetting. Been waiting eagerly since this morning also. Called up Singpost and they said delivery will be on Monday. Really not accept this after Being told personally that it will be delivered today. Will seriously consider again before buying from you guys.

ACRyan Tab7 Initial Thoughts...

Hi guys,

doing my part for the community here.

Had my hands on for this tablet for around 3 hours. Played with it a little bit. Here are some of my initial thoughts:

1) Build is definitely solid, not ur average flimsy kind of a tablet.

2) Still wondering how do u disable the bottom taskbar, it shows up 24/7 (even when u are watching a movie, or playing a game), hence there is no real way of truly full screen)

3) Performance-wise, there are moments of sluggishness while u play around with ICS (if u dont nitpick it is acceptable.)

4) Output to HDMI is a simple plug and play, nothing to review about.

5) the USB port on the tab itself is rather shallow (meaning u cant plug in all the way, parts of the metallic USB connector will remain outside, but the USB is still able to read)

might pose a concern to ppl with mobile broadband dongles.

6) the Super HD Player is really super...i thought i would need other better player but its really damn gd. if u manage to find a better video player do share it with me as my primary usage of this tab is for playing videos.

7) i cant seem to make the tab detect my iPhone hotspot. I believe this issue has been raised...wonder if anybody can come up with a guide.

That's about it for now. I'm going to try gaming with the tab later and i'll report back more on the performance.

Do you need to set anything to enable the HDMI out? I plug to the TV but it says no signal.

Also, how do u eject the MicroSD card? I can't get it out after inserting it in.

A C Ryan,

I received a call from A C Ryan yesterday (Friday) informing that the tablet will be delivered between 9-1pm today (Saturday). At 1pm today, I called singpost to enquire why the tablet had not yet arrived, and they claimed that the delivery was and had always been intended for Monday. I tried calling A C Ryan for some clarification but your office was closed. I have wasted the morning waiting for this delivery, not to mention the hassle with singpost to find out what is going on. I still do not know if and when exactly my product will arrive. It is very unprofessional to treat the customer like this and an explanation is in order.

i didn't set anything...i just plugged the tab in and it auto change display to my TV

Also, how do u eject the MicroSD card? I can't get it out after inserting it in.

press the sd card again? its a normal MicroSD card port. Functions the same way as any other micro sd port.

I guess everyone is curious and excited of the Tab7. I would like to share some of my experiences here.

PROs:
This device can supports many kind of video format as it is already built-in with SuperHD (software). It has many ports for media source, you can just plug-in Hdd & pendrive to copy down the media. The display is clear and sharp when playing HD video. Worth for its value.

CONs
My device auto-off for once, then it cannot turn on anymore until I charged it with the power adapter. When it turned on again, the screen became weird and start to have blinking effect. I am hoping if this is only a battery problem, if not have to go to AC Ryan to complain and change this device, probably they will need time to arrange as there is no extra stock.
Furthermore, if you want to have protection cover on this tab 7, you will find some difficulty because the size is uncommon. I tested on Samsung Galaxy tab 7's cover, it cannot fit in.

Please share with us your experience. I think AC Ryan should take note on this too.

You are lucky that they call you up for delivery on Saturday or Monday, they called me this afternoon to delivery the tablet on next Thursday.

Previously I've reported about the iPhone hotspot issue. I found out that ICS don't play well with the iOS hotspot. However, this afternoon I found a fix. Just rename your iPhone and make sure there's not hyphen and apostrophe. This will fix the hotspot problem. Silly but it works for me.
