I pass cfa l2 oni nw cfa l3. No acca actually veri hard, especially f6. The easy part is that u need 50 marks to pass.
my friends told me CFA much harder.
f6 u self study consider very smart.
1.Guys, anyone know when will the F3 result be released? I just did it and not too sure when the results will be released
2. Can anyone recommend good lecturers for ACCA F1 and 2?
Also, if I am registered to Kaplan, does it mean I can't go to SAA and learn? I am not sure how this works actually.
Lastly, would taking F1/2 be too stressful for a part timer?
hi.. i once considered taking up cima over acca. cos i wanted to do more of the management side. ended up taking acca though, for duno what exact reason also =X
would it be advisable to take up cima after completion of acca? or is acca enough?
Once you have passed ACCA, you are considered a qualified accounting professional. That also includes any role in relation to mgmt accounting.
My friend, an ACCA graduate, joined a global company as a management accountant, therefore obtaining CIMA is not necessary.
do company hire fresh graduate?
Acca popular because they are like EPL, widely spread and easily available. Of course rather recognised by employers too (exciting for EPL).
Earlier there are some rants about locals with acca status, and I believe sometimes opportunities are restricted, leaving us with less desired jobs. I'm sure the pay and recognition will not be as good as NTU/SMU, especially in SG context.
I personally feel that the start is the hardest. If you have gained some accounting/audit experience somewhere else, you can still aim to get into big4 if you still want.
Some are talking about migrating, which I too am very keen to do so after I achieve ~5 yrs of work experience in SG.
I heard of people giving up SG citizenship altogether, some others only work as PR overseas but still SG citizen. Too bad SG don't allow dual citizenship, but I don't think it is a tough choice once you set one foot out here.
If give up citizenship, can withdraw CPF but confirm SGGov will be anal enough to delay things.
I'm wondering if working as PR overseas only (e.g. PR in Australia), CPF should be stucked in sg ba, and still got NS obligations.
Next time got more experience wannna consult a laywer. Now just wanna hear some views from fellow kakis.
Good blog read for those planning to be labelled as quitters by their own govt:

Actually sometimes you need to be contended imho. There are hundreds of thousand people with 1k pay and they are still surviving well.
If you leave Singapore, are u bring ur family over?
