Wa..i didnt know he so competent! But Sami is staying put at LSBF to teach rite??? But i m taking F4 n F6 first...which sch should i choose then? Oh i wanna ask for instance, if I study F4 n F6 in Kaplan, but professional papers i wish to study in SAA...is it possible?? Is it must incur more fees? Pls adviseee
Not really, i have studies in 3 schools so far (SAA/Kaplan/LSBF) and in fact last semester I studied in both Kaplan and SAA simultaneously. Maybe slightly more in terms of registration and the fact that you cannot get the multiple-paper fee discount but other than that there is not a significant difference between in modular fees between the different schools. Just switch whenever you feel like it like what everybody else does. For me, I put significant weightage on the calibre of lecturer rather than the school itself.
hi peeps..
I heard alot of raves on Sami, can I know what is he good in and for which papers?
Which is a better sch to be considered for taking ACCA..
Is LBSF a good choice? From what I know it just started in Jun'11, I am still sceptical towards this new school, any one can give some opinions on the schools if I wanna take F4 , F6 and the Professional papers.
Thanks alot.
LSBF has a seriously screwed up+clueless admin (they messed up my registration/student card and have yet to resolve it) and in almost every administrative sense is far worse than Kaplan, which I rate as the best admin-wise among all the schools I have attended. In fact, they did not even bother to bind the lecture notes nicely like what Kaplan does, and if you are a lady, expect incredible queues at the washroom during the break due to the lack of cubicles.
If you can deal with all the non-academic crapness, than I guess you can sign up with LSBF, but maybe you should stay out of the ones that Sami is not teaching for now. For one thing, F4 class has not even started. The school is so tiny that they do not have enough space for all the evening lessons if they cover all the modules. (I'm taking F5 and F7 and for both papers all the available classrooms were filled with the students taking the same module) I'm not sure that the rumours that Yvonne is teaching F6 is true as she is not listed on the website even yet but if it is she is an effective tutor. Even so Joanne from Kaplan is just as good IMO.
hi guys.. i just enroll with SAA part time for the ACCA F1. However, i found on the net that this SAA lecturer isn't exam focus. Hence, i am concerned that i may fail my F1. Since i have already paid the fee, i have no choice but to continue with the SAA F1 course. Thus, i would appreciate if anyone can recommend books for me to study on to improve my chances of passing F1. Thanks..
F1 is really easy, just read through your whole BPP text book and do the exam kit yourself. Don't worry, it's very hard to fail the module if you do at least a couple hundred of the questions in the exam kit.
