Yes cause end day you still needs to be a public accountant if you want to build your career in Big4.





Not only paying a lot of money for a lot of membership. You still needs time to learn & pass exams too. Then can you cope with full time work & part time studies? Will it come with a cost that affect your performance & you cannot be promoted or even lose your job? The part time studies cycle is very long (from 1 professional qualification to another) & can you carry on your plan until you meet your objective of getting a CA Sg or you will give up 1/2 way?

What if i plan to stay in big 4 audit for 5 years?
Icaew and ca sg has full reciprocal agrewement i believe.
Some people will opt to take icaew instead of ca ew. I believe some big 4 gives us the option which to take.
Do i still need ca sg for this case?

You have answered your own question. Taking icaew is for the purpose of converting to ca sg.

For 5 years, you are just AM & not even up to the level to sign. So don't really needs CA Sg for your 5 years short career plan in Big4.

The RMAs are valid for a period of 5 years from the date of signing which mean after 5 years does not guarantee you can apply for CA Sg conversion using ICAEW.

I have studied at both lsbf and SAA. Would suggest lsbf as the teachers are better, you get the pdf notes as well.

Kaplan textbook is a good compliment if you don't like lsbf text book. It's a good book for self-study and you can understand better on the concepts.

I find BPP materials too wordy.. Kaplan gets straight to explaining to you and it's like someone is speaking to you.

Oh do you use lsbf and kaplan for p 3 too? I just got both pdf versions (kaplan textbook and revision kit + lsbf set from senior). I have only a month left and im self studying :/ which books would u recommend

That would be an additional cost for getting the Kaplan books on top of the lsbf course fees which include the costs of the lsbf books which I do not want haha not cheap at all really
