You forgot to ask if your marks are average or above above. :p

Anyway, I thought you would get some certificate for F3 since you scored above 85?

but like that end of the day when i join big 4 still get the starting pay same as a fresh grad right?
like the pay after goin big 4 then have to take a pay cut?

shouldnt have a pay cut because big 4 pay much more for fresh grad than big4. for example, kpmg pays 2.7k while mid-tier like bdo/foo kan ton/rsm pays like 2.2k?

Hi to all :

I need some help, hope someone can give me opinions. Thank You.

I am taking P1 this coming June exam session. But i dont know if i should choose UK or SGP variant for the paper. My lecturer teaches us based on UK variant, so i am wondering if taking UK variant would be a better choice? Since my examples/case studies are mostly UK also, i am afraid it wont do me any good if i choose the SGP variant.

*Exempted from F8, but the auditing and assurance syllabus i covered was based on UK syllabus.

Apart from that, is it a must for all papers to be done in SGP variant in order to be recognised by ICPAS?

i guess its cos P7 is a requirement for CPA status, which is why the failure rate is that high

err..I don't think P7 is a compulsory requirement in getting CPA status.
As long as some other equivalent requirements are met,it does get u the status as well.

Passed F7, P1 & P3. F7 was my 2nd attempt. P1 and P3 result was rather disappointing. Especially P1 as I really prepared alot for it.

Doing P2, P6 & P7 now. Really hope to score. Anyone can advise how to do well in these paper?

I have been able to remember lots of stuff when doing F8, P1 & P3 but when the result is out, it is always in the 50 + region. Doing full time for the current 3 paper so hope to score as well. Advise?

Check this weblink for detail: http://www.icpas.org.sg/general/entry routes.asp

ACCA is considered as "Other Recognised Professional Qualifications".So,you must pass your ACCA exams before you can sign up as a provisional member (associate).

Ya I know P6 is tough and failure rate is high and hardly anyone do it. But compare to P4 and 5, I prefer 6. :D.

I dun mind failing it finally. But anyway to score well for P2 and P7?

i took 1 1/2year to pass p6, lol... btw, i studied every sitting for many hrs, like 5-6hrs on average per day and still fail it.. it is because the previous examiner like to come out something to surprise everyone... like islamic debt securities tax treatment, FSI by MAS, etc... all my friends who took p6, have never pass it on the first attempt. most pass it on their 2nd-3rd attempt :)
