Just to check if there are any recommendations for P3 lecturer?
As i think i will be taking P3 this coming semester.

Hi, I'm referring to the post above me which is Ramesh from LSBF. I've regretting taking up his course because it really did not help me at all.

I have no experiences with other lecturers so no comments on that.

P3 lecturer- Andy Tan.

F4 lecturers: most of them are lawyers, so please dont expect professional ACCA lecturers standrd. they tends to be less exam focus ie: u learn more about the subject but u cant perform that well in exam

Honestly, I would avoid him. He is incomprehensible and gives me a feeling he does not know his stuff well!

wa.. i only took Ramesh for revision sia.. from what he taught, the students are so good in their knowledge and cases, i felt so lost during his revision lol

I just joined this ACCA...there is this performance objectives that we need to fill up and answer 3 challenge questions with regard to each of the objectives...
U guys really get a mentor and get them sign off for u all online/???
I m really damn shock to see I still need to do these..How to actually get a mentor..All my supervisors are so super bz, will they even give a damn to what I have written and learnt frm the job?? ...and all along i only heard how tough the ACCA papers r and nt all these objectives...

Now i kinda regret joiining ACCA

1. Mentor is just another one who is a qualified accountant and agreeing to be your mentor.

2. If you do not have a Mentor, then you need to have a training supervisor, ie, from the place you study for ACCA.

exactly, i used PESTEL and P5F, followed by Financial analysis, den capablities, only manage to finish until core competency, unique resources havent write about it... more than 5 pages, and tons of time wasted. think we overkill le. i was thinking maybe PESTEL is not needed

ya man.... over kill..only managed to complete 88% of the paper...lets hope theres 50% out of the 88

Ya, i also overkilled. It was such a shame that i did not TOTALLY learned from my mistake. I overkilled case study for my mock too.

Only for today, i jumped to Q1b,c....quickly do then kept checking my timing/

I left a bit of time to do my external analysis, i did not even know what i wrote there..

It is easier than June 2011 paper. What a shame that time mgmt might have killed me.

Andy kept emphasising on CSFs and it really appeared! I almost fainted, my hand was trembling when i was writing that! I am not sure what i wrote is correct or not. And then that KPI, do we have to use Balanced Score Card to answer? I anyhow threw that in because i was really running short of time. While reading Q2 and Q3, the words were literally jumping up and down, I was too nervous!

i wrote abit about CSF and gave 2 examples. the BSC model i totally forgot about it..but i think 5 marks for CSF 5 marks for BSC i think you just need to explain the part on BSC which relates to the case not all.

I see. Now i recalled, i wrote CSF (i forgot the definition) as need to be accident free, arrived on time, charge fairly.

Aiyoh, i don't want to talk to you now, my exam is over, you still have P2 tomorrow, please go take a good rest. Then prepare for your P2 tomorrow.

Yeah, i was thinking of both Andy and Sami while doing...ha ha.

I have yet to attempt P2, will do it next June.
