does anyone have any idea is there any change in syallbus for P7 for dec 2011 exams and this coming jun exams?

Hi

This is Paul Merison, head of Paper P7 for LSBF. There are no syllabus changes to worry about for P7 between Dec 2011 and june 2012. Examiner has clarified some small areas but nothing that will result in changes in questions and answers.

Cheers

Paul (PS there is a section on the ACCA website which summarises changes on a paper by paper basis from Dec 2011 to June 2012)

thanks!
i called in LBSF and was told the lecturer for Feb 2012 intake has not been confirmed. So where did you know roy goh would be teaching?

To clarify a number of posts, all of LSBF's tutors are confirmed until the summer. However for legal reasons (which end at midnight on Thursday night) LSBF are not allowed to name 2 of our tutors right now, which is rather annoying but unavoidable unfortunately.

The 2 tutors concerned will be announced on Friday (possibly at 1 minute past midnight, if any LSBF staff are still awake and in the office)

unisim is not uol right? not sure how recognised it is if so... but could be less taxing than acca.

Anyone attending the briefing for this ICPAS plus tonight? Mind sharing it after attending? Won't be able to make it because I have class. :(

I recently applied for ACCA membership and registered for 2 exam papers. However, i just received a welcome email from ACCA informing me that i am exempted for the first 4 papers (F1 to F4).

The thing is, I have already signed up for F1 and F2 course 2 weeks ago (under Feb/Mar intake). I am now thinking of starting F5 straight instead but am not very sure if i can catch up since my accounting background is not very strong. As such, can you advise me whether F1 to F4 knowledge is needed for F5 and above papers? Or are they two different set of knowledge?

Anyone can advise? :s11:

I have a degree in commerce. My guess is that the word 'Commerce' sounds very accounting that's why they exempted 4 papers. But actually i didn't really touch a lot on accounting.

So right now, i need to know if it is safe to start off F5 straight and not struggle because of my lack of F1-F4 knowledge.

Advise? :s11:

Heard that F2 is linked to F5. Right now pondering whether i shd study F2 just for knowledge or skip it and start F5 straight away..
