ACCA F9

Hi Everyone,

Please advise which of the below lecturer is more recommended for ACCA F9:
Mr Saminathan @ LSBF
Mr Ian Lim @ SAA

Also, may I know which combination is more advisable:
F5+F7 or F5+F9

Thank you!

Cannot reconcile the pass rate.

This lecturer may represents minimum 50% market share of candidates in Singapore (as claimed by the advert. previously). If so, with his pass rate at 80% and the average is around 40% to 45%, that means the pass rate of other schools is below 20% to 30%?

That's impossible.

As accountant, we must be able to analyse the figures provided.

Just my opinion.

feel like crying already... today P5 i think i failed already... and thats because i didnt know the question... completely missed out question 5, and go do Q4 which i dont know at all. in the end it turn out that i actually know Q5, just that i dont understand what the Question is asking... other question also cant do the calculation...

damn sad now, this is the first time i think i seriously would fail a paper, and futhermore this is my last semester, so i gotta wait for another semester just for one stupid subject because i miss read the question...

no mood to study now.... next week still got one more paper... haiz

I did my P5 at the June 11 sitting. I did not know how to do Q1 on Transfer Pricing & did not calculate RI & ROI correctly (based on the model answers released subsequently). I also didn't answer a part in Q2 worth about 8 marks. For section B, I was only confident in only one question (but not all parts).

After the exam, the only thing that I was confident was that I would need to retake the paper at the next sitting. Naturally, I was depressed, but I tried very hard to focus on my next paper the following week. For P5, I even signed up for the regular classes again & attended a few lessons. Then, I got my result of 51 marks two months after the exam & I was all shock, happy & thankful.

I think it's natural for you to feel upset immediately after a difficult exam, but you need to quickly recover from or at least control this negative emotion by focusing on your next paper. Try thinking about what could be worse than having to retake two papers than one paper. Also, you don't know the outcome until you actually get your results. Yes, the negative emotion & the long wait before the results are torturous, but it is perseverance that has seen people completing ACCA. Try to make good use of this weekend to recover & just concentrate on studying for your next paper.

All the best & see you at the finishing line!

not very sure about though, cuz ACCA do have some moderation. however this exam sitting is well, consider easy, so i doubt there will be any moderation. unfortunately i lost almost all marks in my question 4..., and is unable to get any of my calualtion correct for any questions...

I also had the idea that my June 11 sitting for P5 was easy. However, it was only the 2nd paper that Alan Watt had set & his theoretical style is so different from the calculation-intensive style of the previous examiner that made me felt that all my revision for the subject had gone to waste after sitting for the exam. Though we might think that a paper seems reasonable, even easy, the quality & type of answers that the examiner expects can be very different from what many students think.

Just focus on your next paper. Knowing that passing your next paper is a step closer to completing ACCA versus having to retake both papers next sitting should give a little comfort to not only you, but many other students. The choice is yours :)
