Thought of trying lsbf

thanks buddy Will do. I'm giving up f5 tdy. Will do it next sem. Any opinions on Roy or Sami?
I choose Sami...my preference. I went for his F7 classes find him not bad. Btw i undergone Ian Lim for his F5 class for Jun 2012 class...didnt attend his lesson after first 5 lessons. Think he teach ok only but not exactly bad. went to self study and read the textbook got 80+ mark on first attempt for F5 on Jun 2012 exam.

Thus maybe u can consider self study or just go for catch up class?

80+ is super good. I don't think self study would work for me. I hardly revised after class. My mistake. So I forgot everything when exam comes. So I think I will need tk go for classes.

Hi all,

I have recently enrolled into ACCA and will start straight from f5.

I have signed up for f5, f6 and f9.

I am intending to self study for these papers.

I am aware of opentuition, will the notes available be sufficient for me?

If not, any knows where I can get lecture notes from credible lecturers?

Any help would be much appreciated.

P.s Since I'll be taking Singapore Tax, I would require local notes..

Are there schools where they conduct weekend only classes?
I know some lecturer like James, Goh Sher Wee usually have weekend class...you may want to check on it...

can i check you use which lecturer note to self study for F4?
i used the blue book that Tan Peng Kwee has written for SAA. Manage to get 62marks on June this year by self studying his textbook . Dont study his lecture note. It's too brief. I never even bother to revise his note. His textbook is not that bad though. Alternatively, you can try Kaplan F4 textbook which is more precise and detailed and easy to read.

hi,
thinking of taking F4/5/6/7 next semester.
cld anyone provide comments on the lecturers
f4-ramesh balak (lsbf) vs terence tan(kaplan)
f5- roygoh/mary tan/hoo sen kai
likely going with yvonne for f6 and sami for f7.

I will be going for ramesh as I have been to Kaplan for F4. As for F5, go for Roy Goh or Sami. Roy is more systematic

Hi people, I'm thinking of taking F4,F5,F6 for June 13 exams..
I've decided to take F5 - Sami & F6 - Yvonne.. But is it advisable to take my F4 @ Lsbf? Or would it be better to self study F4?
Thanks..

Taking lectures is better than self study as some lecturers does teach you how to answer the questions.
