Hi,

Does anyone know if we need to take ACCA papers in a particular sequence? I think syllabus for F2 (management accounting) and F5 (performance management) are quite similar, so can I take these 2 papers first?

Likewise, F3 (financial accounting) and F7 (financial reporting) are quite similar, can take these 2 papers after that?

Can someone who has taken all the papers advise me on the best sequence, albeit the easiest way, to take the papers? So that I do not have to study twice for similar topics. :s13:

Please advise, thanks.

No particular sequence for F level.

P level u must clear first 3 before you could go with optional paper

Hi,

Upon completion of F1, F2 and F3, a candidate can take a professionalism and ethics module called Foundations in Professionalism, after which he will be granted Diploma in Accounting and Business.

May I know if there is any book for this Foundations in Professionalism? Is it just like other papers?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear that.

By the way is it difficult to take all F level papers at one go? Memorizing 3 books is very scary!

Google their respective website, should have :s13:

If I am not wrong, next intake is July 2014, their fees are not out yet.

Modules are the same, can check from ACCA website here

CPA you need to check with ISCA :s22:

Hi,

In terms of reputation and employability, what is the difference between ACCA diploma and diploma conferred by other institutes (e.g. Polytechnic in singapore)? Employer would give preference to which diploma?

If someone can get a diploma just by taking 3 papers at so much lower cost, who would want to go for diploma at polytechnic?

The main aim is to get the full ACCA. Some S'pore employers won't even consider the OBU degree. Therefore, I don't think the diploma or advanced diploma will help much, but you can always try.

Reminder for all acca students to pay ISCA fees for 2014 ($100 after tax).

ACCA diploma ( f1-3) can take half a year to complete whereas Polytecnic Diploma take 3 years. Of course employer prefer Polytechnic Diploma especially in public sector. Public sector of course support public school/local cert.
