I attended Tom P2 class and passed my P2 at first attempt. Yet to attend Sami class. I think overall Tom is one of the best P2 lecturer. He even provide free lesson before exam to give exam tips and technique to student.

Some of the ACCA technique article is written by Tom + his Kaplan student guide book on group accounts. His achievement has proved he is definitely one of the best P2 lecturer.

You are right - looks like FTMS marketing dept has signed up in Hardware zone!
Pls provide objective n constructive feedback for the benefit of all students - it can be seen some users are obviously working for FTMS and spamming all kind of misleading information.

If the school is really good then they won't be giving free lessons to attract students - market penetration thru low pricing which shows low quality!

We are studying ACCA so we have enough knowledge to make the right choice.

Anyway new format of ACCA with MCQ was no difference - the passing rate is still bad! Maybe better only for Law paper!
But other papers like F5,7,9 is looking equally bad - refer to ACCA website.

Study hard everyone.

I don't think its only ftms lor.. LSBF and SAA are here as well, at least ftms not posting their marketing stuff here compared to LSBF who directly posting their events and promoting their facebook discount here

I don't know if LSBF and SAA are posting fake reviews in this thread but I think it's quite obvious some of the FTMS reviews were "reviews", if you know what I mean. The advertising sales pitch was too obvious in the posts. It can be hard to tell which posts are real reviews nowadays, so take them with a grain of salt.

I don't think the free lessons are a bad idea actually. How many times have many of us signed up for supposedly good lecturers only to realise their lecturing style didn't really suit us? The "try before you buy" is a good idea, IMO.

I wish i can attend saa-ge and lsbf but my schedule just don't allow me to. Help!

I beg to differ.
Sami's method of performing consolidation is the fastest especially in a time constraint paper like P2 where Q1 consol is 50m alone! Also many questions are practiced in class for section B . (Note : you have to read also yourself abit as lesson is limited by lecture)
From what I know my fellow classmate attended a free preview by Tom and she left half way during the break after comparing the difference in explanation and technique.
There were hardly any students anyway even in the free preview session to begin with!
My friend was the only person there (lol).
After half way imagine no one was in class for Tom's free preview!
Worst part is he still got the cheek to bad mouth other lecturers from other schools such as Sami!
If you been to Sami class you know - 100% knowledge only!
No nonsense and full delivery till the end of lesson.
If you want to complete ACCA you have to be in the right class.
Learning right exam techniques , no use using a method where you need 1.5hr/2hrs to complete a question!

From what i know BPP is a premier institution in the ACCA arena- their study manual / revision kit are very good and usually used by other providers as well.
If the online tutorial is just as a gd as materials then it might be worth the try for those unable to make it for lessons.
But unsure if there is interaction and lecturer support,
If there is then its useful for busy professionals.
For tougher papers live lesson maybe at least revision class will help to complete learning as well.
