did you use the batt till flat before charging THE VERY FIRST TIME YOU PUT THE BATT INTO THE ASPIRE ONE?
you have to condition the batt to get the max n min batt life de~
and also ur batt already wear 10.1% within less than 1 mth usage...
i already use my aspire one for more than 1 mth already~
i still can use around 5hrs with 100%...
my usage = net + wireless + average brightness + mp3 + average sound...

and also, try not to stress your batt by using it till its flat before a charge~

the first time i straight away charge overnite

now shall full discharge for the 1st time to recalibrate

this is not internet section~

but i can help a bit... you sure you got valid internet connection? you sure you got allow downloads on your firewall? check yout tcpip settings and other stuffs... you cant download ONLY to your aspire one? other computers can download?

Is there anything not working on your netbook? Else, you can choose not to upgrade. My preference is not all upgrade is useful, at times certain upgrade may lead to more problems.

bought AAO from nus ... 1 dead pixel at center - eligible for exchange

2nd one ... 1 dead pixel at side - not eligible for exchange :-(

NE1 just as unlucky as me? Or the cheaper sets at NUS r of worse quality...

*babystitch, i installed win xp pro and it boots much faster and has more functions than home~

*ClampX, you can try a full system restore and add the wireless network as per normal. backup before restoring~ AND ALSO, IT MIGHT BE THE MCAFEE~

hi, pardon me if this is a stupid question. im pretty clueless abt stuff like these. im looking to buy either a acer aspire one, asus eeepc 1000H or dell mininote 9....

does it mean that i cant use like photoshop or adobe audition on these UMPCs? the specs cant support these softwares?

1) firstly, umpc = ultra mobile....
2) secondly, aspire one is placed under "internet companion"~
3) lastly, dont expect a lot~
usually ultra portables have no optical drives and weak graphics~

you wont go wrong if you just surf internet and listen to mp3 and watch youtube~
you can try installing whatever program / softwares you want to and run them if you want~
if you cant run certain programs / softwares, dont ask why~ refer to number 3~

in the acer website they stated that only 120GB HDD, but 6 cells battery 2600mAh???? i think its 3 cells though

When the sales thread here stated that his ONE's from singnet too, but with 160GB HDD, 6cells battery also but 5200mAh?

really can regret meh? actually my hand itchy already wan to break the seal, but i just try my luck, in case i can upgrade to macbook
