has anybody tried installing vista basic on it? does it lag?

ya has anybody tried installing vista...i thought if buying but duno whether if system crash how do u install back the os cos no cd drive....

winxp is good, why install something buggy?

Hi guys my AAO A150X is not working. I think the hdd is down. Switch on the netbook but the hdd is not running..
How long is the warranty for the netbook?
Is there a separate warranty for hdd?

warranty is standard 1 year.

if you forsee future the laptop or netbook will broken down, you can purchse this extended warranty before the 1year warranty end.

One moment, its running fine and when I restart the netbook after installing the windows updates, it cannot reboot. Kept showing "Error reading disc. Press Ctrl+Alt+del to restart". Did that few tiems but to no avail. Is the HD uplorry already? if send to Acer service center, how long will they take to repair.Thanks!

error reading disk maybe the hdd connection is loose ot hdd uplorry.

go send for repair, I don't think netbook got 2hr express service.

under warrenty take 5-7days to repair.

Depend on condition.. If its minor problem, can repair on the spot

THere is no 2hrs. Only gt 4hrs express service but for corrp. company only, nt for member of public

For ur case u can do a sys restore see if its work. If NOT then u do a E-recovery. If both oso cant... time to send for repair...

I wanted to get the MSI until i got a Mail from NTUC income for a birthday treat to get the AOD250 at 549. is it cheap ???, read some post saying the unit is on offer at 499 now !!!

also how do i know what processor is it using ?? e.g n270 or n280 ??

You sure about this? IIRC it was N270 all along for the 3 cell, $499 model. For the 6 cell, $699 model then is N280.

Its the N270 , bought it at Courts . N280 more expensive
