Careful about X34. I just posted my problem with X34.

One thing to take note which salesman don't highlight. It is UP TO 100hz, bo bao 100hz.

you should do your own research...

lolololol, if you don't turn vsync on you'll exceed 144fps and would result in tearing, no matter if your monitor is gsync.
for gsync to work properly you must turn on gsync and vsync from nvidia cp, and vsync off from game...

I didn't even know about this! The more you know...Thanks!

But then again, on a 1440p/single card config, I hardly ever go over 70-80 fps on the games I usually play so no problems there.

Agreed.

Not sure about you, but have you bought something without the intention of buying it until you happen to see it in person?

Happens ALL the time. My last 4 mouse in 1 year can attest to that. :s13:

Care to explain? I have never heard of this before..

Im sure going from 143 to 144 hz is cheaper than going from 59 to 60 hz.... maybe if your multiplier is < 1 then it makes sense lol

Is this gap on the top + right + left side of the panel normal?

Only the bottom portion of the panel fully displays till the edge of the 'screen'.

I used to have this issue on another monitor, but nvidia control panel sorted it out, though in that setup it was leaving a black border all around.

Was thinking of getting this monitor or the Asus 279Q. Read overclock forums and damn are the reviews/feedback really bad.

Would like advice from fellow bros here:
1. What is the RMA policy like for acer/asus in Singapore. Can I return it/exchange it if I find dust/oil/BLB?
2. The recent reviews in overclock forums are still getting QC issues. Should I hold off on a purchase?

You should read User reviews for December Mfg Date batches.
These are what you get if you purchase in SG now.
Any reviews Mfg Dates before December 2015 are irrelevant

You should ask our local users who bought Acer XB271HU, X34 & Asus PG279Q this year January & February for feedbacks

Does anyone here know what is Acer Singapore's stance on return/exchanges?

I was considering getting the XB271HU but after reading the overclock forum's reviews, I am having second doubts. QC appears to be a HUGE issue for many people esp with regards to erratic screen performance and BLB.

They however appear to have the option to RMA the product or exchange it. Does Acer Singapore allow this or are with stuck with a 1000 dud if we get the draw the short straw.

PS: Have sent numerous emails to Acer regarding this and have been put on hold on their customer sales/marketing hotline for the past 1 hour. Definitely not cool or confidence inspiring.

Update from ACER Marketing (via email): "RMA/Exchange is subject to the retailer's policy. Acer Service Centre only provides servicing support for their products."

Didn't mention their policy on backlight bleed or screen uniformity issues.

"Don't believed 100% on what you read on OCN. I myself bought a XB271HU on end December and I love the monitor. BLB is at minimum" and no dead pixel. I always find those ppl on OCN are nit picking. There is no such thing as the perfect monitor in this world.

Thanks for the reassurance. Was waiting for the IT fair in march to buy mine but i'm not confident they will carry it. Seems that all Acer promotions now are to clear the XB270HU. Also, I don't expect pricing to be competitive.

Where did you get yours from and did it come with the DP cables?
