LoL. I hope you did not turn on G-Sync for Overwatch. That was your mistake that will cost you your game.
The reason is simple. By sticking to a fixed refresh rate, you can predict and calculate where you want your cross-hair to be.
G-Sync means an inconsistent frame release. If the GPU has frames to push this time, then the monitor will display those frames at that particular timing.
In other words, you won't get a new frame every 6.94ms making it so hard to predict where your cursor might end.
Look at it this way. 144Hz,
6.94ms - 6.94ms - 6.94ms - 6.94ms - 6.94ms - 6.94ms - 6.94ms
G-Sync's adaptive sync
6.94ms - 16.66ms - 6.94ms - 8.33ms - 8.33ms - 16.66ms - 6.94ms
Of cos you will find it hard to find the right pacing as the pacing is adaptive and therefore inconsistent to begin with.
Make sure G-Sync is off when playing Overwatch.
As for the latency, don't assume TN panels are better.
Here's a comparison between the 240Hz BenQ monitor and the Acer XB271HU
Look at how often you see the BenQ monitor showing a faster frame when comparing the 2. Quite rare and far between considering the TN panel boasting a 1ms response time when comparing to IPS's 4ms response time.
Albeit, the test was done with both running at 144Hz.
Boasting about skills without an understanding on the science. How funny.

Where's that 'huge' difference you were talking about?
