Hi guys any help will be appreciated
I just bought a xb271hu and it is plugged into an extension socket.Whenever I turn on the monitor power switch on my extension socket,the monitor turns on without me having to press the power switch on the monitor screen itself(I remember pressing the power button to turn off previously) so is this normal? And also do you guys just leave the tiny power switch which is located at the back of the monitor on all the time after turning off the monitor?

Playing AAA games such as Battlefield and MHW

nope, it wont be able to drive it comfortably.. low/medium settings also will have issue for MHW. Some maps in MHW is a lot tougher on resource usage.

It is a feature of the monitor.
Even if you turn off the monitor by pressing the button in front and off its main switch at the back and then turn the main switch behind back on, the monitor will turn on.

And if it detects a signal, it will switch to that signal i.e. you turn on your PS4 connected to the HDMI port while your monitor is in its sleep state (yellow light) and you are on the DP input for your PC (which is off at the moment), it will switch to the signal that first connects to it when it is sleeping. So automatically switch to PS4 HDMI input.

Based on hlots123 sifu link to jorimt's post on geforce forum and blurbusters gsync 101, the frame pacing for gsync is better with these settings. elmariachi can cfm too, does make a difference

In some instances gsync mode can't engage properly in Windows 10 1803, fixed in 398.82 hotfix onwards including 399.07whql.

the tl;dr of what i read was basically
Enable in NVCP G-Sync and V-Sync
Then in game cap FPS at 141~140, disable ingame V-Sync, if in game doesnt provide cap, use RTSS

MHW works flawlessly with Gsync, only thing i had to do was lower settings to medium and I still maintain 40-60fps

i think something wrong with your NVIDIA drivers which cause it to lock at 40-60fps

There is nothing wrong if he is playing MHW using a gtx 980 @ 1440p. Title is quite demanding.

Hi all, am looking for a gsync ips 1440p monitor to pair up with my 2080 and my search on the net seems to point to this monitor being the more popular one with the Asus having QC issues.

Would like to ask how is the warranty with this monitor and where is the best place to get it? Would love to get it on lazada but there is no one home during working hours and delivery likes to come during then.

If you don't need an IPS panel, look at the Dell S2716DG. I think there is even a replacement for that model now but with 165Hz refresh rate. TN panel though. Used it before and was great for games.

This is a good 165hz IPS gsync 1440P monitor, worth to pay $900 plus.

Unless you loves Asus, then can pay $1.2k plus for the same technology~

Consider getting frm acer qoo10. Its their official store from acer sg and ships out from there. If next week got $120 off $1000, can get at $998 + $2 filler - $120 cart = $880. Can go lower if u managed to buy $800 giftcards at 5% off + any cc rrbates. Includes delivery with qxpress. Not the best but maybe can try asking them for weekend delivery or late weekday delivery.
