Advice on Penang

From Cititel Penang to Airport is RM40, surcharge then RM60 (11pm to 7am).

Bus is flexible in Penang. Unsure of which bus to take, just ask the bus driver. My experience is that the local aint sure either. On the safe side, just ask the bus driver, and ask them to prompt u when reach your destination. They are helpful.

For me, the food in Penang is so so only. Maybe, I'm from Sarawak. Hence, i think Sarawak laksa and char kuay teow taste better.

If you got a GPS, make used of it. It will ease your trip.

I haev taken bus before from bus terminal by bus 401.
Distance is quite far - 1.5 hours....
so damn far...

It's Rapid Penang. Rapid Penang | www.rapidpg.com.my
No useful maps though. Which is why Google Maps still comes out tops when it is used in conjunction with the bus route.

If i didn't remember wrongly, should be ard RM60-RM75

Here in Penang. Took cab around ,
15rm per trip from Georgetown to
gurney drive, etc.

Airport to Georgetown was 45rm though

Went gurney drive for makan, followed by shopping at gurney plaza today. Plan tmr is to go toy museum, Kek lok si and queensbay mall.

Just came back from Penang. Overall find the food relatively cheap but transport via taxi is rather expensive if u intend to travel around various sightseeing places.

On the whole, My personal observation is that Penang old folks are rather grumpy and impatient, evident from my encounter at different food stalls. (street peddlars, dim sum place around Georgetown.

That's my experience. Hopefully yours would be better

Can try the toy museum near corpthorne hotel.
But is 20rm per person per entry...
alot of toys to see!!!
