Any idea how much is can from airport to Georgetown? Stay ing near chulia there

If i didn't remember wrongly, should be ard RM60-RM75

Take rapid bus 2.70 rm

Depends on what time of the day, coz the bus will passby a few places before going to airport (not direct service). Peak hour traffic is very bad in PG.

Which is best for the beach hotels ?

Rasa Saying is really ex but the only 6 stars one around right ?

Golden Sand is next door. cheaper but rated only 4 stars.

Can both share facilities since they are under same group ?

That part of Batu Feringgi is the one with most activities right ?

Park Roayl is further up right ?

And what about Hard Rock ? seems much cheaper compared to the other 3 mentioned above. But is it suitable if going with kids ?

Just going to stay for like one or 2 nights to enjoy the beach and sea.

Have other accomadation plan for the rest of the time.

Hard rock hotel have kid club there have movie, dance class, games ect for kid aged 4-12

Would recommend Golden Sands or Hard Rock.

Rasa Sayang have more of like a Spa Resort kind of environment .

Park Royal is a bit old

You can also try Holiday Inn .

Just returned from Penang. If you are looking for a hotel in Georgetown area, I highly recommend Cititel Hotel, its near most food places and within 10-15 minutes walking distance from Komtar/Prangin Mall/1st Avenue or a short bus ride away.

If you drive in Penang, try also the Balik Pulau area, near Batu Ferringgi beach. The road is quiet and nice to drive unlike the town area. You'll pass the dam and waterfall (small one). there might be a few stalls selling durians by the roadside. check this out :

By all means, drive round the island. I did that. There is an interesting restaurant in the middle of the durian plantation that attracts people from far off. I am told it has a strong reason to have survived in the middle of nowhere. The dam is very interesting and the drive onwards (if you drive a counter-clockwise circuit to round the island) is fairly high and you get to see a great distance of the island's east coast and the open sea.

Yes the hotel does has buffet breakfast, the normal intercontinental buffet breakfast type. You can explore the surrounding areas for makan places or you can ask the helpful concierge staff on where to eat. If you like prata (roti canai), you can try Line Clear, a 24hr Indian stall on Jalan Penang. Room rate varies over different dates, best place to check is the hotel website itself, under reservations. Cititel Penang

hmmm it's nearby the airport, but by bus i'm not sure how to go, it's at Bukit Jambul area, near a famous Kayu Nasi Kandar. try google the address on the pic, I only know how to drive there, haha
