Visiting penang again in June. Most probably trying Nautilus Bay Home Inn this time.

It's a homestay, review seems great. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hello all!

I will be going to Penang with a friend next month for 3d2n. Wanted to check how do you guys usually go around in Georgetown, Penang? Walk or trishaw?

We will be staying at Glow Penang in Jalan Macalister, Georgetown. Is there any must-try foods near the hotel?

Also, do you guys buy prepaid data sim for your trips to Penang? A little afraid of getting lost there, especially if we are cabbing.
The hotel is at a good location.
Usually cabbing to places in georgetown is recommended.

1)Joo Hooi Café
475, Jalan Penang
Opening Hours: 10:30am – 5:30pm
Have to eat the char kway teow, assam lasak and chendol.

2) The Sisters Char Kway Teow stall on Macalister Road

3) Old Green House Restaurant (老青屋)
223 Burma Road

4) Ah Soon Kor Har Mee
Sin Kim San Coffee Shop
Jalan Rangoon (off Macalister Road)

5) Lorong Seratus Tahun Curry Mee
Between Lebuh Naning and Lorong Seratus Tahun

6) Prosperous Dim Sum Restaurant
Along Lorong Abu Siti

7) Hot Bowl White Curry Mee
16-A, Lorong Abu Siti, 10400, Penang.

you can purchase data sim card at the penang airport or rent a wifi device. y5buddy.com

Yes, I have. It works fantastic. Lots of drivers, and sometimes you can even get the Executive cabs.

It's a bit harder to get the cabs from Batu Ferringhi, so it was a breeze in Georgetown. I took advantage of the Promo last month and the rides were like 30-minute ones.. all for RM5. Initially i thought every SIM card was limited to 1 ride, but no.. it was unlimited!

Recommend you to get a SIM card at the airport.
