Great good information.

I manage to rent a MPV to bring my family of 6 pax. Is parking easy @ George Town? Should I get parking coupon at 7-Eleven? or park at mall? Any tips?

Thanks.

Parking is difficult to find in georgetown as limited lots. MPV will be worse as parking lot is small.

I didn't know about parking stuffs, can ask in tripadviser penang forum. There are many expert staying in penang, they should able to help you.

Thanks for your valuable feedback. I will still drive there to park by luck. Anyway we are going there weekday. Worst case if cannot find any street lot, will park at nearby mall.

Dec is not a durian season so can skip Bao Sheng Durian Farm.
Entopia entrance ticket is very ex about $49 rm per adult.

Day 2 can add:
Chowrasta Market for breakfast
Ghee Hup Nutmeg Factory (only 10 mins, very educational)
Saanen goat farm
Audi Dream Farm kids will love this place with tons of small animals

Place you should find out: Penang Hill and Kek Lok Si temple

Day 3 Pulau Tikus Hawker Center for breakfast, indomayam and small pineapple taste the best.
Chew Clan Jetty and many street arts opposite the main road of Clan Jetty.

Penang kia? Are you sure this december is not a durian season? Hmmm...

Shopping malls should not have a problem, only problem will be no parking space near famous food stalls.

FYI, it took me around 30 minutes to find a lot around many one-way streets in georgetown. If park at malls, it is very far away....

You can try asking grab car driver for 8 hr tour, since they are private car.
Private driver hiring is about $40rm/hr

Just came back from Penang

Grab is easy and convenient.
Note that most cars I "grabbed" were small hatchbacks, so if u have lugguage, better indicate #pax and the the #lugguage.

Bus is also convenient.
Forced to take the bus from Escape Adventure to Komtar since no driver accept my Grab booking. =(

Penang hill still closed

Sent from LGE LG-H990 using GAGT

My family just came from Penang. We rented a MPV to drive around. Driving experience is challenging in George Town. Roads are always busy with cars and motorcycles, and motorists like to cut into my lanes. Private carparks are available many places. Crossing on the busy road is really need a lot patience.

Overall my family enjoyed the trip very much. We went to Entopia, Audi Farm, Upside down Museum , Spice tropical gardens and Chew Jetty. We ate durian at the stall along west coast side. We also ate at Red Garden Cafe, the Ship Batu Ferringhi, Goodall Market and Perut Rumah Nyonya Cuisine and famous Penang Chendol. We stayed at Marina Bay Residences via AirB&B.

Haha....I am not surprised of your experience in Georgetown. It is difficult to drive and find parking in georgetown with the 1-way narrow streets.

Just Grab. The bus, although accessible, will take you over an hour.
