HI folks, wanna ask how much to bring for few days trip? Is it safe there as in kena gunned down or kena Rouge polis? Is it better to stay in hotel or guesthouse or hostel? Thinking to go in few months time

Difficult question to answer regarding amount of money needed. It's all depend on you. Basic SG$80 a day per pax.

Have you been to JB, Penang is safer than JB.

Hotel for relax with room service cum breakfast, airbnb type mostly non of these. BTW hotel is cheap in Penang.

When you are in holiday, you don't mind waiting hehe. Similar to sg.
btw, there is 2 part of penang, penang island (penang airport) and mainland penang.
You can use grab there, it's cheap and there are free bus in certain places.

From my hotel in Georgetown to airport is 22 rm, last year. Use grab.
If taxi more ex.

Just go to Facebook search for Penang driver, you will get a lot. Rate is around $40 rm/hr usually is 8 hrs service.
