I can say Penang is not so packed. As KL is a busy city. So if you prefer relaxing vacation then Penang would be a better choice. Besides there's lots of good cafes and restaurant in Penang, not to mention the large varieties of yummy hawker food =D.

you can walk around george town heritage city site and penang hill. If you want to taste tropical fruits, you may visit tropical fruits farm in balik pulau. If you bring any kids, you may want to visit the largest butterfly farm in southeast asia.

at night, some guests like to visit batu ferringhi night market.

I agreed. Majority of them do not use meter like Kuala Lumpur. For less than 5km, one may pay RM10 or more. If using meter, it is definitely less than RM10.

city cabs are not allowed to pick up passengers from the airport. you need to buy a limo coupon from the airport limo counters.

We took a 10 seater bus from airport to Evergreen laurel hotel at 89.4 RM. Normal cab is ard 40 to 50 RM to George town hotel.

not really cheaper as i was looking for a 7 seater car and this was the best i could get.

Well... I believe it should be around RM50... I took to Air Itam was RM45.
