Cracking Sound from Aego-M

Hi,

just recently when i came home and used my speakers, I realised that there was some cracking sound coming from the speakers when i play audio. It's not always there, it randomly pops out of nowhere and it's extremely annoying when it happens.

So what could be the issue and how do i fix this ?

I'm still using this. though the right sat has been whining :/

Still one of the better speakers for PC desktop. Heard the new Aego 3 will be out soon but do not know how it will go head to head with Aego M.

Anyone found a good match to the satellites ? I would not mind have better mid range.

hmm what are you guys setting your volume on your AegoM to be?
just wondering should the volume control be by the Aego Sub unit (or on your PC?)

I had the impression that PC/USB-DAC/etc set to max, and let the control be on the Aego M - is that the right way

Lol awesome, my set is still alive.
I leave it at half and vary between bass 1 or 2, and control the volume via the TV.
It's always on, unless I need to do maintenance.

Last time I tried I was quoted big money for the board... can't remember exact but can remember it was almost the price of a second-hand speaker.

The preamp section is encapsulated in rectangular plastic, so impossible to repair. The unit I had had part of the plastic melted, presumably by the faulty component.
