Why ME at the end.

1) both 5 ticks
2) daikin has 4 directional swings and built in wifi function. More fun, more excitement, but when more electrical or mechanical parts fail, don't think I can smile series anymore
3) Daikin thermistor issue been mention many times by aircon men of different company
4) ME pcb fault I only read it here in this post
5) anyway both not made in Japan. One Thailand, one Malaysia. Correct me if I'm wrong.
6) I look around at a lot of aircon companies and finally got 1 was kind enough to be super honest and told me the faults of all these different models. And seriously I called him like 6 times (each easily 50mins) to make inquiry and he handle it with patience etc. So made my decision to go with his recommendation of starmex FN series.

4G33V + 1 X 24k btu + 1 X 9k btu + 1 X 12k btu

50mins each!!! he no business arh..so free...lol

which aircon company? ;)

My brother had a problem when he moved in to the new BTO.

Many aircon units got zapped. The developer paid out compensation.

Talk to your Town Coucil and claim from them.

To make the case stronger, maybe get the whole block to involve.

What happened that caused the units to be zapped?

Update: After getting another contractor to come, he managed to troubleshoot and check is just the fan motor problem based on the led Light blink. He advised to contact ME agent directly to fix it as they will bring the common spare parts down. And today agent came and confirm is fan motor and got a replacement on the spot. So I think if there is confirm hardware spoilt better to get agent directly.
Hi, my 2yr starmex system 4 suddenly not cold. The company that I bought from came and check and said the outdoor unit not running, the electrical board and fan spoilt need to be replaced and is not covered under warranty. The replacement is not cheap. Like to check with guru here if it is true

What are the charges involved for ME? Do the contractor charge for troubleshooting?

Remember ask for their own technicians, is wear the dark blue pants coverall and a light blue button shirt with ME on it

I think they got outsource to some other contractors is wear a polo tee and jeans kind, totally cannot make it, no proper equipment and poor knowledge

Their own technicians got all the equipment like laptops data logger amenometer clampmeter temperature wire probe, for troubleshooting everything u name it they haven and u ask them questions, they can give u elaborate explanation like as if they know the machinery like the back of their hand

He just dropby last Friday to install. Everything so far so good. Payment was easy, via paynow. And he even show me the materials while installing.

Amaflex 1/2 inch thick, class O
Keystone electrical cable
16mm copper pipe for drainage etc

30A power supply

Hi guys! need some help here as I'm first time owner, and I've no experience purchasing air cons :( I bought a 5I HDB resale recently, and because it's a 1987 unit, the power supply is only 30A. My block will only undergo HIP in 3Q 2021. After which, the supply will be increased to 40A.

My initial plan was to install 2 additional aircon in the living room and dining room, on top of the existing 3 aircons in each room. However, due to the 30A power supply, I was told that won't be possible.

Hence, my wife and I are considering if it we should add just one aircon in the living room first, and install the dining room one after the HIP, or just install both only after the HIP is completed.
We are just worried with juts one aircon in the living room, it might overwork and end up damaging the aircon and the compressor.

any advice would be appreciated! Thank you so much!

not sure where else to ask.

I bought a Mitsubishi Starmex System 3 FJ series (5-ticks) from Gain City back in March 2017.

what's the recommendation for fan speed? I was told it's not good to use auto and try to use 3 or max to cool the room quickly so the units don't work as hard.

and also any recommendations for servicing?

auto - energy saving
high fan speed prevent jelly from forming on the coil & the drainage.
Since speed 4 is noise, 3 would be recommended.

if general servicing, any company will do.
if chemical overhaul, best to pick professional experienced tech as inexperienced may damage ur aircon system during the process.

Add 1 aircon for living room does not damage the aircon.

The aircon has certain BTU. It will only cool the area to its max btu. That's all.

It won't overwork anything
