Xman, I was quoted 3k from Daikin Alexandra for system 3 but they exclude cabling. They have free site visit if u confirm with them. Otherwise, u gotta pay $50 for it. My friend confirmed with them but installation only in June. I will see if it's good then decide if to get from them.

I prefer to get them to do all. why not include cabling, its abit weird.

Parisilk and Court i wont go to them for aircon. I think they will get subcontractor to install for you. Might as well go directly to subcon?
Wait Parisilk squeezed the subcon the subcon squeeze u on material how?

Where do you suggest I get it from? Daikin directly? I am leaning to this DAIKIN SILVER ENVI SYSTEM 3 ( 2X FTKJ25NVM +1 X FTKJ42NVM).
Any recommendation will be great. I using the same casing. but cabling and piping I think better use new as mine is more than 5 years old.

That's the question. That's why I nvr on them. It's like getting them to install a toilet bowl and then they say it don't come with seat cover :)
Haha...maybe a closer analogy would be fixing toilet without connecting water supply or don't provide water piping.

They provide water piping and got connect water supply. Only thing they don't include the flush button :) :) :)

Just went over during Lunch, Daikin proshop(Fortuna), just clarify, includes all wiring and cabling, dont have to source to buy anything. Quoted DAIKIN SILVER ENVI SYSTEM 3 ( 2X FTKJ25NVM +1 X FTKJ42NVM) -$4980 +150 for bracket.
2 x FTKS25DVM (9K BTU) and 1 x FTKS50FVM (18K BTU)-$3450 (Inclusive of bracket... warranty 2+1 +90days(if buy at proshop). Any feedback on FTKS25DVM ?

All most all the vendors quote me "FTKS25DVM" fan-coil model. I have seen the actual set and it looks fine but a bit shorter as compared with others.

That fancoil is their basic 'tan jiak' unit so should be no problem, else you will hear or read about complains everywhere.

the 28VA is referring to the fcu or the external unit?

all the MXY external units. google for renotalk starmex.

some one mentioned the PCB have problem in this thread back in nov 2015 as well.

those forumers who changed their mainboard or controller boards, fan motor etc please post here and spread awareness

MHI System 2 with CoolServe

Finally took the plunge and place order with Coolserve for a MHI system 2.
Installation will be on 9th June. Will see how it goes.

Wanted to go for 9000BTU as both the rooms are about 150 square feet each. But according to Coolserve, the distributor of MHI has no stock of 9000BTU hence the current promo for free upgrade to 12000BTU.
Also upgraded the insulation to 1/2" armaflex class-1 but kept the copper pipe at 23 SWG due to budget constraint.

Generally their price is on the higher side, only Gain City is more expensive than them. But their optional like bracket and insulation/copper pipe upgrade is more expensive than Gain City.
So overall, Coolserve and GC's prices are about the same.

Decided to go with CoolServe as my friend uses them and said good things.
Will see how the installation goes. Hopefully I made the right choice.
*fingers crossed*

i read that the new 5-ticks starmex is noisier and the cost savings only achievable not in the first year if you dont use it 8hrs everyday.
any feedbacks?
i am torn between ME and MHI.
current family house using MHI no problems, so thinking if i should change for my BTO:s22:

Proshop giving additional 3months warranty. Seems cold engine price quite good leh...if include the free upgrade, then specs will be the same as Proshop but better deal from cold engine since it is $80 cheaper and include cabling
