The UPS tracking number slow and retard like **** with no accuracy, was still showing waiting to pick up 2 days ago then appeared today.


Anyway paid $288, it comes with the original Samsung Hepa filter with the original box strapped outside the box.

Thought got people say it's compatible one?

Or is it the one inside with the machine is the compatible one?

Think some ppl received without the box in the past, hence the suspicion. The original one comes sealed in a black plastic, IIRC.

I think some people complained on qoo10 last year when he sent out the compatible ones and so he changed back.
There were extreme demands on the AX40 and the filters.
Total demand and sale for 2015 haze was 3k units for qoo10 in total for Samsung AX40 only.

But note, compatible has got many meanings. The compatible ones from South Korea are H13 based with comparatively same and good airflow. HEPA media is made up of PET and PP composite....better than the Taobao's usual PP media.

I got a bit scared because the areas i want to put are big areas, so can't let it be down by too much in performance.
I guess below 10% should be fine.

Maybe so, maybe not. Never got down to such details whether they are exactly the same stuff just w/o the box.

ah well, gonna change mine to a new TB one today.
then by dec, change to another new original one.
original or not, at least reading on particle counter is similar with the original one can be at peace of mind when sleeping le.

AC layer, not sure. HEPA particulate filter is very very similar

Just sharing some pictures of 7 months old filter
and replacing with a TB custom measurement one. Without A/C but with additional prefilter
extreme tight, no room for additional plastic around the edges like @WussRedXLi suggested

HCHO reading is 0.081
TVOC reading is 0.743

WIthout AP , air con on, window closed
HCHO reading is 0.093
TVOC reading is 0.775

AX40 AP on , air con on, window closed
HCHO reading is 0.109
TVOC reading is 0.815

Don't know what's wrong, the air condition like even worse with the AP on.
