Yes, performance aside, using the app you can see other information like pm2.5, temp & humidity. Can also control fan speed, off the lights when sleeping, low noise in auto mode. Filter is cheaper and no strange smell like my AX40.

Any idea if electricity consumption is high for XM AP2? Or it's like comparable to AX40?

If worry about running cost, the AX40 maybe more worth it imo with the compatible korean filter and cheapo RMB29 filter.

Another seldomly mentioned good thing about AX40 is it blows the air forward so it can act like a fan.

The high speed in XM2 versus AX40 is imo heaven and earth.

I will never run the XM2 on the normal high speed

The only problem i think the old AX40 is no longer available, replaced by a Made in China model

i'm getting ready to make orders of XM2 from Taobao, anyone want to tongpang?

from my calculations, i should be able to about to do about 190 SGD per unit, including the following:

- GST (coming in by sea containers, so anything inside the whole container will be taxed GST)
- our local 3-pin IEC60320 C5/C6 cable
- one factory-bundled blue filter (the green one is standard with XM1, not XM2)

anyone who also want to tongpang filters, i'll only order the Green one (since it's also mentioned for formaldehyde removal with an obviously large activated charcoal filter inside) for 50 SGD.

particle counters, so far this year i don't have much requests - unless i have enough orders, i suggest everyone get on their own (but those who cannot understand chinese and need help, drop me a note) i'll be doing the support for the units that were purchased through me, of course (which means i will need to do a markup for the units, as i'm the person liaising everything)

Since beginning of 2014, i am using it this way. I prop the AX40 at a forward angle with a piece of paper at the back area of the base so that the airflow aims and blows even lower and would blow at my body.

Together with the aircon, it is pretty cold even at 27-28 deg C.
Pretty cool when you are using your computer for hours, maybe every night save 20-40 cents in electricity should you set the AC at 24 instead.

Every year 60 dollars liao! 5 years 300! And that's a pretty conservative figure....i could calculate it to be more.

Of coz you can get another stand fan, just need additional funds and take up some space. AX40 already can function as a fan, but not for sleeping without an AC.
Youe mileage may vary of coz.
