Seshuan, i posted the picture of the back panel of the Xiaomi 2 AP. It is 31W.

XM1 spec it as 75W (CADR 406m3/h) . Mfresh M8088A is 70W (CADR 580)

can enlighten what does this 1.5A mean?

Seriously, MFresh could shave ~ 12cm from the top. Don't know why did they leave that "empty gap" there between the top panel and fan assembly.

Don't tell me they will come out with a M8888A with a 60 cm height. !@#!@#!@

Haha. Wouldn't be surprised if it was to match the xiaomi? E.g., If competitors' products are a certain size, my product cannot lose out, later ppl think less powerful/effective or what. Perhaps once one manufacturer dares to reduce size first, others will follow?

Mfresh M8088A was built to follow Xiaomi 1 AP and added some touches to it (bigger filter, higher airflow for performance......slightly different shape with curves, maybe some like maybe some don't). Now that Xiaomi 2 is out, I guess the MFresh CEO would wanna stir something in order not Xiaomi 2 to cannibalise much of its sales.

Furthermore, XM 2 AP at RMB699 is really competitive.

MFresh is not a small brand in China for health products. Of coz they don't manufacture phones/pads and stuff like that.

Well, you want slim and tall to save on footprint, here it is. It should fit nicely in a 4/5-room HDB hall's corner. No need to position much, 900 horse power ensures single digit ug/m3 even at 471 ug/m3 external!

And remember, there really is a lot of "media" in the MFresh stuff.... though you pay slightly more for it of coz.

One good thing that I gotta mention again with these Mfresh and Xiaomi APs, is that during hazy months, you can just switch it on from your phone in JET mode for fast clean when you are on the MRT a few stops away from home. So when you reach home 15-30 mins later, the home will be all clean.

Eg, a Mfresh M8088A can clean a whole 110 sqm 5-room house in 30 mins in JET mode after which it'd auto-throttle down to Speed 3. Just site it in the MBR and the haze particles would diffuse ard the house. The efficiency drop is very slight, time is on your side anyway with remote control. Either that or you time it Auto-ON at say 6pm.

So you don't have to bother with simi "rotational cleaning" by moving it into each room etc. Troublesome leh...

Philips seems to have smart APs too, but did not see it in the local Philips website. Think China have.

Looks like the typical TB street price for XM2 AP is 818. Ie they source available stocks for you and you pay 818.

Probably will only be 699 well after CNY when the NE China haze clears. That's what happened for ver 1 also (i think they released in 2014 aug, lagi earlier)
