AX40 filter replacement price is rmb110 for H11 to H12 performance 45mm from Taobao, ard same price as Taobao H11 HEPA replacement price for Xiaomi at 149rmb. Not exactly apple to apple but you get the idea.

In fact, can even spec 60mm for AX40 for a 10% boost in airflow. Rmb180.

Pls note the disclaimer that i always often give while using the 3M filtrete. Aircon FCU must be clean.

Asked the aircon servicemen if putting a filtrete will be helpful in getting cleaneer air. He said its not that efficient, also will slow the airflow from the aircon. What are your thoughts on this? I'm still considering if I should install the 3M filtrete in my aircon.

Haha. I know.

If I going to buy new AP, I would go for AX40 too. Low power consumption, low noise level...

But since my old old Honeywell APs still functioning well, just keep using. I think chao chao ard 10 years +/- liao. Can consider PG among my electrical appliances liao.

Depends which area. At boon lay side after install AP a few hours, parents room like no odour but once step into living room area and kitchen, the chao ta smell still lingering.

Yup I saw, thought just washing the filter will be enough. Obviously I know nuts about ac The position of my ac is very hard to reach with tv and furniture beneath so...

Anyway I removed the filtrete and letting ac air out for a while, later turn on will it be ok?

Seriously no idea but at that price no way is a true HEPA filter. Overall, it does what it's supposed to do as an air purifier. At the very least, it reduces the effects of the haze on my parents.

Thinking of cutting a frontal opening on the front cover for it to perhaps improve the efficiency .

u can try....if still drip water....just use wet vacuum cleaner to suck the cooling coil.

If u dun want..just spent $40~$200 +.. to ask air con tech to clean for u.

Not useful for 2015 strong el nino season. Neither is 3M Filtrete.
But as additional support to your air purifuer, yes.

Hmmm....if it's 1 x AX40 + 1 extra filter = 329, still ok. If confirm via FedEx, it's great. Coz 337 from Daiso. 244 + 15 + 78 = 337.

Taobao's buying nature is that you gotta consolidate stuff and get it above initial 1kg RMB43, so do not buy HEPA filters alone. Subsequent is rmb12 per 0.5kg

I always buy my TB HEPAs in pack of 4s anyway (coz I change my stuff every 6 months due to daily usage and I don't like the funny smell, but that's personal habit), for extra slight discount. 4 filters usually come in at around 2.5kg. Even if buying just 1 filter (ard 0.6kg package?), is 110 + 43RMB forwarding fee (4PX)= around sgd 35 with all the extra CC/TB 3% charges.
