Can't comment about the price but group buy is basically a bulk purchase. They will deliver to your add.

I had the EP-A3000, but not with humidifiers. The small slim type, meant for small small area.

Is not really that noisy, but.... one big minus point is... there's a relatively "high" pitch/frequency humming sound. If you belong to those very sensitive to sound, and the room or area is very quiet, can be quite irritating. (Personal opinion only, others may not feel that way).

Not sure about the bigger models, the ones with humidifier u referring.

Thanks. I am using hte same model as well. Still thinking of upgrading to EPA-8000 with humidifier function. Maybe I'll get AX40 for the time being.

Was tested by PSB and results shown that ozone is non detectable/lower than 0.01ppm.

NEA standard was <0.05ppm

So rest assure it's safe :)

nope it can't, its used to remove/kill bacteria/virus ... AP would just be a dust trap without the streamer function ....

Had some fun with my Samsung AX40 today...

Here's how my experiment went:
4 rm HDB (old type), 2 bed room doors closed
Total rooms to be cleaned: MBR + living room + Dining rm + kitchen
All doors and windows closed, floor gap on main door plugged
AP used: 1 AX40. Yes, ONE :s22:
Outside conditions: PSI 200-250

Start: AP on high, placed in living room

Guess how long it took for the led to turn blue?
60 min :D

Just for laughs, I opened up another bedroom door, so total volume is now Living room + dining room + kitchen + 2 bedrooms.

Immediately the led turned red (dirty) again.
Guess how long for it to turn back to blue?
50 min

my phillips air purifier running medium speed for one hour liao, still showing red (dirty air) after 1 hour :s13:

Are the winix air purifier + Humidifier good? Can't find details on whether they use HEPA filters or produce ozone.

I would like to get a humidifier because everytime i wake up in air con room, i find that my throat is very dry. My room is small, about 9 sq m only. 3x3m room.

Thought of getting the sharp kc930e since it was 200+ but then i read that it only uses HEPA10. The other Sharp Air purifier+humidifer models are all 500+ though. What do you all think of this Winix? Or any other decent purifier+humidifier ?
