Does it come with English manual, and should extra filters be purchased as well?

For the LG, English manual you can request from Qoo10 seller, just check the seller's Q&A section. If not just pm me Extra filters you can get from Taobao seller (non-original and without the nano-silver coating, but works, cheaper by around half).

Btw, how to tell which side is supposed to face the internal fan, i.e. which side's the "wai" in the "xiang wai" (there's a sticker on the filter media packaging)?

& what's that additional piece of way-thinner filter media for? To replace the charcoal filter ah? It doesn't look like activated carbon...

Yea, sealed means I can store it for longer amount of time, & the "outer" cardboard packing is quite sturdy, almost-crush-proof.

Looks more like a thicker filterete.
Guess i will order Sharp's original formaldehyde filter to put between deodorizing filter and Hepa. At 32sgd and can last 2 years....cheaper than to add 3M filterte in AP.

The thin white piece is just a prefiter. No need to use it if it's 45mm. I use it for my 60mm.

箭头向外。Arrow faces outwards. There is a white tab there, for ease of future filter removal. The PP material is really non-direction, not like the others material.

This is the noise data compared to my Sharp A50.
All noise taken @ 1m distance

Xiaomi, Jet, High, Med, Low, Sleep.
Noise (dbA): 61, 54, 46, 44, 43
Flowrate m3/h: 406, 271*, 174*, 93*, 68*
*estimated

Sharp A50, High, Med, Low
Noise (dbA): 50, 44, 41
Flowrate m3/h: 306, 216, 60 (Published Spec)

Pros:
Cheap upfront cost.
Cheap original replacement filter.
Air quality sensor.
Can control remote as long as there is an internet connection.
Aesthetically pleasing.
Small footprint relative to same ap in class.

Cons:
Loud,
Needs wifi to control speed toggle button only available for 3 modes, jet, auto and sleep.
High power consumption relative Sharp/Samsung. (42W vs 75W max rated power)
A bit difficult to set up due to very basic instructions provided.
