Air purifier?

sigh... mine from Goni. I bought with extra filter.

The filter came in a plastic bag. If there were any box before, it was removed. (But why removed)?
The pictures taken by Happy Mall buyers, the filters all got boxes.

and I'm still enduring the machinery / weird smell coming out from my Samsung AX40.
The air makes my throat itch as it does whenever the psi hits 300 and above.

And someone was complaining about Goni's VAV Hanebaro II air purifier, said they don't have the distributorship why are they even selling.

I really speechless liao.

can gpgt the extra filter? maybe can place the AX40 further from ya?

see how. Only started using last night.

on whole night, hopefully to let the smell go away. placed in living room.

bought at $320 with extra filter.

but hor.. can always give to parent -in-law if they find it ok and I still find it's not.

Blowing air through the 3M filter with a portable fan, this is what I get after one night placing it in our aircond bedroom:

Right one is a new one for comparison.
Its spec says it filters 3 micron particles and above.. so still have PM2.5 to worry. time to get another air purifier.

Where to get the filter?

I bought the air razor filter for air con in the end. Felt good. One large piece can use for both my air con. There's two large pieces in a packet.

So far have not bought any extra filters yet. My set with extra filter from Happy Mall is on the way. I will compare the filter in the unit and the extra one in the Samsung box to see if there is any difference.

Maybe those who got extra filter from Happy Mall can comment if the 2 filters are the same quality.

I was about to place another order with Goni this morning with their $300 [Free Hepa Filter Event] timesale. But after I saw their $63 thread "SAMSUNG compatibility Filter", I choose not to get from Goni. If they are selling authentic filter, they should advertise as ORIGINAL instead of COMPATIBILITY.

My AX40 using it everyday since it arrived on end Aug 15. Now having the same TCM smell as mentioned by other users. Have to switch on for a while (10mins) to get rid of the smell. Dunno what's wrong. Previous no smell at all. Got it from Daiso.

Happy Mall extra filter are in original Samsung box and sealed with the same black plastic bag. I didn't open up the seal but looks the same with the one that comes with the AP.

I think happy mall sells exports set, I can see their labels are Samsung.com.cn

no. the plastic bag for the extra filter was those transparent style type.

it's not the black plastic type seen inside the air purifier.

i just received my extra filter from GoniGlobal.

they failed to packed it together when they delivered my AP.
it is without box also. filter was in a clear plastic wrapper and "ultimate bubble wrapped" and shipped with Fedex intl priority (2 days lol)

though without box color is the same as what came with the AP.
Blue (HEPA) and Black (Activated Charcoal).
TBH, I wouldn't really worry about it being a 3rd party one.

they actually call me from Seoul when I submitted a ticket regarding my missing item. lol

i would guess it is probably the smell of the AC, faint sourish to me.

Hi anyone here, for your pre-order on AX40 custom size, the seller just allow us to order 12pcs only..LOL

They said the materials are shortage, due to MFG supply.
The early available made is around 20/10 then able to post out for us.

Mine on overnight still got a machinery, difficult to describe smell which makes me feel uncomfy.

And, my nose has bad blockage for years so couldn't smell well unless smell is extremely strong.

btw, the light showed blue from the start of use. No change of colour at all. Then again, have been using for less than a day, hard to say also.
