Pardon my ignorance, anyone can share why is Samsung AX40 so popular? Aside from the HEPA filter, how does it kill/remove bacteria/virus that are trapped at the filter itself?

1 filter can last up to 2years.

For me, i think it is
-Cheap
-High performance CADR 305
-Energy saving
-Quiet

tbh, most of them i see with this budget, perform less than CADR 200.

DOA warranty mailing cost is bourne by seller. 7 days 1-to-1 I think.
30 days don't know what.

The AX40 plug, just use your bare fingers and squeeze the prongs together so that it's closer to each other. Deform it a little, won't break. Then can easily plug into our socket.

Even without squeezing, still can insert. Just need a bit of force and wriggling from side to side. But not recommended as plugging out will be a problem, but same thing.....just wriggle side to side.

Just buy a $1 plug from ABC if worried.

Tell him you want the Sharp 180 机 HEPA.

Original is 30mm. You can ALWW and tell him to customse to 35mm depth.
30mm has very slight airflow drop. But it's basically H10 -> H11.5 upgrade, so no worries.

Pay 10% more and get 35mm depth. He can customise to 45mm as well, not sure if the FU-Z31 or your model can take it or not. But don't waste the money, 35mm is sufficient. Those who are anal and have budget, then maybe go 45mm depth.

The sides, just stuff up with some plastic wrapping paper that came with the HEPA or tissue paper, prevent bypass.

You will be in good hands, the stuff works. Measured before, at outlet, in-room performance etc. No worries.

310mm x 282mm x 45mm cannot fit the AC filter. Don't need the AC filter, most homes do not have a VOC issue. I measured before. Also, on particlecounting tumblr website (that SMART HEPA ang moh guy selling the DIY HEPA fan contraption on TB and website since 2013/2012, the 2013 haze guys would remember this)......he also measured no VOC issue. Same goes for HK homes.

The AX40 cavity can accept up to 50mm depth and you can still close the prefilter.

I customised a 60mm thick HEPA, can still close the external cover, barely. I asked him to give me those ultra thin 0.5mm thin netting prefilter that you see on the Sharp filters, or like those outer layer on surgical mask....something like that. Then I stick myself on the 60mm to act as a prefilter. Just vacuum every 1-2 weeks.....

Output wind speed then goes about 10% more than original Samsung. Unfortunately it'd cost due to special customisation, RMB180. $40. So considering originals to be 88, not that wu hua liao.

I customised 45mm filters for Sharp KC-840 - RMB90. AX40 - 110. The big LG PS-R459/LA-379SB with 360mm x 340mm = 140.

All air purifiers have 1 filter installed and comes with it in the original box, be it from Novita/Sharp/LG/etc. Any filter purchase is additional, for future use.

WOW I will get this then for my model SHarp FU-Y30E. It weird since they use another name for the model FZ-Y180SFS... make me so difficult to find... was going to Gain city to get it but now no need
