With regards to the funny smell on new AP, perhaps the LG AP Manual offer some answer:
• Is the odor generated in the initial phase after purchasing the product?

• It is a smell of activated carbon. It disappears after
1~2 weeks after product operation. It is a smell of
activated carbon (charcoal) harmless to human
body. (It is the same phenomenon as a new car.)

My concern is actually, it caused my throat to itch and my dog to cough.
That's why i wondered if it's giving out pollutants rather than cleansing the air.

If the smell will disappear one week later, that would be good.

Btw, just read someone commented on Goni's that there's a strong plastic smell.
Lol.

I've tried using qtalk to goni on anoger issue but no reply at all.

I checked several of their products.

Anything after 7 Oct thay have yet to reply.

Maybe wait a few more days or ask Qoo19 directly.....

Once it reaches Singapore it's delivered by singpost speedpost. They won't call, if they deliver and it's not that, they will leave a notification for you to collect at a popstation near your house

Yes. Received sms this morning from Speedpost parcel ,
my customised TB filters will be delivered by 6pm today, if the delivery is unsuccessful, I will receive a delivery advise with collection details.

Contrary, the smell from my new filter doesn't cause the above symptoms not from goni.

Where did you get your new filter from?

My filter that comes with it is wrapped in black plastic bag, white in colour.

The extra filter i bought from Goni came in just a clear plastic.

relieve some of the burden by the green plants nearby...

Trying to purify all of SG air

need alot more AP or very large AP to do it... but upgrading it to aircon will be cheaper

That geylang polyclinic AP's filter will uplorry in less than 4 weeks, even in current lower concentrations. Lol.

Most likely in operation for 1 mth or longer. So definitely uplorry liao.

Just checked my mum's living room NAP501i, the filter i just changed in early Sep or so. Need to change liao, really stinko too, got smell even though standing 2 metres away.

Small AP (300x245x35 filter) to huge area ratio (living room + kitchen)... Turbo speed almost daily for more than 12hrs a day.
Heng is i use rmb35 filter for it....diy cut, not customised even

like I said earlier you don't need the deodorization filter. the HEPA filter is the important one. save your money.
